The only thing I don't like about the mobile browser version is its hard to move your cards around after you've chosen them. It's always put me off using it
I’ve been use brave and keychain a lot lately and it all works pretty well except being able to reorder teams in battles so mostly have to pick in order or just remove and re add the units
For a team focused on building, this seems a step in the wrong direction. Just as Gods Unchained successfully rolled out their mobile app, Splinterlands is phasing out theirs...smh
I'm not a mobile user much but let's be honest, there is a billion $$$$ market of mobile users out there ready to be tapped it, yet splinterland is too poor to pay proper devs to do the job right once and for all...pathetic...we've been waiting for new player experience for years and yet and we get told it's the top priority to gain new players. So on one end we add new player experience to bring new players while they are unable to build a proper mobile app version that would get them more players as well...meanwhile tower defense will be on mobile. Another nail in the splinterland coffin of mediocrity.
I played mostly on mobile on the go and I thought it was fine, except that tactics didn't work... another bad decision imo.... do some more parallel content, I started playing ln and I like it, it's like a version of hearthstone which I played for years, really excited to learn this game!
I have used the mobile app now and then . I prefer PC but I know that mobile is the biggest market for gaming so is removing the app the right decision? I agree with a lot of what you have said in the video. Especially new players coming to play only to find the app does not work properly or that they don’t have all the features of the game. So in that sense it makes sense to take the app down as it gives a poor first impression for the game. With mobile gaming being so big though not having an app could restrict users and this also holds back the tide of mass adoption. Whilst PC is making a comeback mainstream gaming is still console and mobile I feel so removing the app is not a great idea from this view. Personally I hope they are taking down to relaunch it as the post suggests. This has its benefits as they could launch it to new players .
That's probably a good idea. i've experienced the mobile app and have long held the opinion that it is the single worst possible gateway for the game. how many thousands of players have we lost over the bear market because of this? I can easily imagine that of anybody who's heard of SPL and then decided to try it...90% of those will probably go to the app store, and of those 100% would run for the hills after trying that shit show. the halving in less than a month, the bull market is in effect...and our token is down...still. Right now the team is completely locked into improving gameplay, optimizing and arranging LP issues...ALL OF THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEEN DONE IN THE BEAR MARKET. the team should be all about onboarding new players...but it seems the team's priority is to simply NOT chase away prospective players with our horrible app, predatory beginner ranks. and here we are, the loyal player base, just praying that THIS bull run the team will be ready to take advantage...they aren't' ready, we aren't ready, the GAME isn't ready. the rental market is flooded with cards people aren't renting, match liquidity is low, SPS/DEC is down man, i sound like a FUDDER...I guess i am at that...I Fear the team will be left behind, dragging my assets with it, I am uncertain if the team has the ability or drive to implement the things it NEEDS to get done before things get frothy beyond anything and we miss it...and finally i Doubt that the tens of thousands of dollars i've invested over the last 3 years are going to get me a return...I DCA'd, and bought the dips, in the bear market i didn't buy a top or make crazy FTX decisions...I DID IT RIGHT...and with that, i have serious doubts as to my ability to recoup my bear market investing. The liquid tokens will go up, they already have a bit...but those cards...my value will continue to decrease i think as new sets with new abilities take the majority of the MC and CL will continue to stay the welfare set...even for land staking...well because land sucks, and will continue to suck.
Every step forward they seem to stumble down the hill. This is a huge blow to mass adoption.
What's new. 🤷

That's a great idea. The app was not maintained properly. Everyone should just switch to the browser version as they have advised for some time now.

Pity, I like knocking out some battles while on a walk

This isnt good. Cant even see all the screen on the main site on my mobile
To be honest I never used the mobile app. Thanks for the video
Haha. this is hilarious. This game cannot be optimized for mobile. People rely way too much on their mobile devices....
