Folks We are here to do one thing and one thing only and that is to help you save tons of Money doing your own projects like repairing your own leaks and how to find them as soon as they start so you are not replacing your vanity! amzn.to/4flfc5a *A child who is allowed to be disrespectful to his parents will not have true respect for anyone* Billy G.
Those types of valves are notorious leakers for many reasons. Being a former General Contractor I installed a good quality BALL VALVE and have never had an issue again. Yes, they are more money but some of these BALL VALVES are 40 years old and still work like new. Just a thought, love the channel!!!
Mike like the tip with blue paper towl. I did a tune up with plumbers few years ago on my 1982 house. Keeping the classic toilets, faucets, replace water heaters ETC. I had them replace under counter like you have shown. The Plumber was retired and spent months on the project. This cost $500+ were I live, plumbers were busy.
Thanks Kyle! These amzn.to/3CjxWDw work great for easy leak notification :) LOL We always appreciate the views and comments my friend, hope you have a great week. Guru Mike & team
$129 for me a service call. That paper towel on the vanity bottom is a great it but looks under their sinks very often! I had a pex connection leak last winter on the hot side because of running hot water to keep pipes from freezing up. Hasn't leaked since!
LOL, well, I don't look under the sinks that often I will confess, but the one who uses the cleaners etc. and announced that "Houston we have a problem" fortunately found our little leak before it got out of control :) Thanks for watching as always Kerry, and sharing your input is appreciated, have a great week my friend. Guru Mike
That's me! LOL And it seems there's always something broke :) Thanks for the view and comment Fender, hope you have a great weekend my friend. Guru Mike
What type of valve did you use?I heard multi turn valves might be a hassle to turn than a quarter turn but you can rebuild them.I have Dahl quarter turns in my house & they are at least 15 years old & have probably never been turned since new & they turned when I checked them like new.I had a shark bite quarter turn valve installed & within a few years it seized.
Well, we put a drop of this tinyurl.com/bdf6a6ky on every multi-turn valve and have never had a problem with them. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great week my friend. Guru Mike
Just don't put that dope in your pipe and smoke it lol. It might be pipe dope but........🤣 And while I'm on a roll I could say that that ferrulel was feral hahaha. Have a great day captain mike!
Compression fitting no Bueno they all eventually leaked. Got to do it the right way take that compression fitting off clean the pipe like new, braise a copper fitting on.. You can use a cooking pan/or fire proof backing. Using cooking deep pan plus una bit/step bit drill hole through the middle of it just big enough to be able to get the copper fitting out after you braise it. It will protect your cabinet and your wall while you braise it on yellow map torch. I promise you brazing it on with a copper pipe threaded fitting leak free for a lifetime Been there done that….
@@MrKnowItAllGuru No problem, the main reason those compression fittings don’t work, especially in the older homes it compressed the copper pipe and made an indentation from the original olive sleeve. So when you go to use a new compression fitting, it’s just not the same. If you have extra pipe, you can cut it and start fresh, but then you’ll be even shorter next time around most homes have already been done a few times. It’s just best to braise a copper fitting with a male threaded end on it using lead free solder.. I’m a firm believer in buy once cry once one and done for a lifetime saves a ton of headaches, especially crawling underneath a sink. Did 11 of them every sink area in our home. For some reason, the toilet areas weren’t leaking so I saved that for a future remodel project to do.
LOL, maybe the key word was "plumbing" HAHA! I've seen a LOT of those commercials as well, not sure what's happening but I hear you buddy, they're everywhere :) Thanks for the view and hilarious comment, hope you have a stupendous week my friend. Guru Mike

The commercial I had to watch before this was to show me how to use 3 ingredients to pitch a tent, in my pants 😁😂🤣. These ads are all over you tube.
