What makes players so great they are playing through challenges like teams with great defense or their own teams are not playing well or dealing with injuries like lebron in 2018 despite the challenges he made all the way to the finals with a bad roster and almost took game 1 against a great warriors team. Great players play well in the playoffs and show up when it matters the mosts and great players even on different teams and systems have made great production. Finally great players back up their play with great statics but it is not during when they game is over but when the game is still alive and also great players impact the game in many ways positive and they can be relied on when needed and can adjust to others teams defenses and play by finding ways to contribute to the team’s success. This is my take

I think there's 3 things they need to addressed this coming off season. 1. Coaching staff needs to have a new game plan on how and when to used Gobert especially when teams exposed him as their main weakness defending the perimeter. Either they changed their coaches or comes up with a new tactic. 2. Donovan Mitchell needs to step up defensively and be the main guy what fans expects him to be. He needs to assert himself on the defensive end and be the leader on that team not just by scoring but by showing at least a little effort in defending. 3. Lack of perimeter defender is I think is their main problem why teams have a field day on the court either in the paint or beyond the perimeter. They need a an identity and a leader who will lead them to the next level. Whether it's a coach or a vet guy who can inspire this team.

Mitchell is playing at his peak, averaging over 20 FGA per game. His peak however has been 4 seasons long and I dont see it going down anytime soon. @@pastjdzz yep. I know the whole system wants you to think many players are amazing, but the truth is only a few truly are. They may shine during the regular season, it doesn't mean they're great.
NBA is just so weird because you can enter the league at 18-19, so by the time you're barely 26, you're 7 or 8 seasons in. 8 years in the NFL and you're probably 30 or 31 lol
Donovan peaked too early and because it seemed like he became a star quicker comparing to his draft mates, people overrated him. Donovan can score but is very limited and didn't show any signs of improvement in his game.
Bruh CJ had a good series man he took these bunch of kids to the playoffs and actually they fought the NBA tittle favorites they didn't get swept man Don't understand why you don't have Kyrie and KD at 1
To be fair with Trae, being smaller compare to his peers then the Heat who is elite & hardworking on defensive is focus on him, it's too much. So, i'll give this more to the Heat than Trae falling short.
Yeah, if any player is getting that kind of attention by a team in multiple possesions throughout the game, that's basically them saying "Alright, he's that dude, let's bring him down". Effort by the Heat > Trae falling short
Donovan Mitchell is the new DeRozan-great offensive player in the regular season that doesn’t make an impact in the playoffs and plays horrible defense
To be fair d Mitchell went crazy thr playoffs the previous 2 years. I wanna see how he plays next season before saying he doesn't preform in the playoffs.
I thought everyone knew the bulls weren’t gonna do jack in the playoffs. Two inefficient difficult shot makers who play little defense with a horrible defensive big isn’t ever gonna work anymore. Horribly constructed team, hopefully they turn it around.
You've already nailed it, Derozan has been in the league for so long but ALWAYS comes up short in the playoffs. Trey has been to the playoffs twice in his young career. Once he was amazing but second time he couldn't handle it but you gotta give him more time before starting to give him flack for it
Different how? He always regresses in the playoffs. Nothing new. He had all the support in Toronto and he still got destroyed by Lebron (not Lebron’s team. Lebron himself lmao) Case in point: He got traded for Kawhi and they won a championship immediately afterwards
I forgot A. Edwards is a 2nd year player. He is a monster already. CJ was great in the play offs. they just faced Suns but still gave them headache. I just knew that Jazz is weak, even when they were number 1 last year.
I will get hate for this, Kyrie is kind of overrated imo, he is one of the most if not most skilled ever in the nba, but he has his limit, he wont ever be first choice or like a gamechanger, he will give you 20-25 ppg, maybe a good game here and there, but thats about it. He is injured a lot, and chokes a lot, I get it, he hit that 3pt in 2016 finals and it was amazing, but after that, his boston playoff was really really bad, facing elimination he shot like 30% against Milwaukee in last 3 games, now with Brooklyn, he just isn't enough, he doesnt do enough plus his energy and mentality are awful. I can't see him ever getting better,
as a heat fan i was really disappointed by the playoffs performance from herro, sure he won 6th man but he didn’t transition this from regular season to playoffs. my boi lost his minutes just because he couldn’t play defense. i couldn’t also remember a good game from him in that playoff run, he should have been the one helping jimmy at least in terms of scoring. i’m still bitter about that loss vs celtics i feel like we could have won it if jimmy got help.
Utah might blow it up. Way too much committed to Gobert, who’s looking more and more like a one trick pony. Hopefully they can trade him, retain Mitchell, and try again.
Number 1 is James Harden. That man is done and just killed the process. Should’ve signed Jimmy in 18 and traded Ben back then. Would’ve won a chip by now bc sixers would’ve gotten a lot more for Ben back then
Your channel is great , you have so much good content man , there is only one thing i truly dislike about the videos is that repetitive music.. please replace it , it's frustrating
I don't think it's fair to judge these underperformances too heavily. In a 7 game series, the game is basically a matchup lottery. You could have a Pokemon team of 6 pseudo-legendary Dragon type Pokemons and beat all 8 gym leaders but, if the first elite four has a team of cute Fairy type Pokemons, your Dragon type Pokemons look useless, no matter how many switches, revives, or full restores you use.
Trae had more TOs than made FGs in the playoffs. I think he had the worst showing. The problem for the Jazz is also that Conley aged like 10 years in a year, they need another dynamic backcourt player
Cant believe people criticize luka for dropping 45-12-8 against the suns when nobody on the team other than maxi kleber hit their shots. Also the defense was terrible and as expected, the Mavs have no one to guard deandre ayton. Every single team in the playoffs has at least two star players and Luka is carrying a team by himself (sure brunson played very well in the first series, but if luka didnt come back and play those 3 games then Mavs likely lose to the jazz).
Towns didn't really dissapoint me, the Wolves defense was very underrated in a lot of ways. Which the warriors Grizzlies series is showing. Unfortunately the refs seem to have made up their mind about who the new superstar in the league is going to be.
KD's performance dropped because unlike when he's in the Warriors the opposing teams have to divide their attention to him and the Splash Brothers. Now, he's got the majority of the defense focused on him.
It's sad rlly, cuz back when Shaq said that, everyone thot he was a hater - Mitchell was def up on the rise last season. He even had a great individual series against the Clippers despite losing in 6 games. This season tho, he regressed so much - he's no longer the clutch player he once was, mostly due to his poor shot selection and bball IQ in 4th quarters. I thot he was gonna turn it up in the playoffs, but clearly he was no longer a dominant playoff killer. Rn I'd say both Booker and Lavine have surpassed him - Booker can playmake and defend much better now and Lavine is a great outside shooter and slasher.
Why is it that the jazz stagnated during 3rd quarters?..i dont know if you notice this during games, its like they dont score or anything..this is during their series with Dallas..

It’s not hard to defend a team that is reliant on one guy.
@@ternedo6074 this is what the Warriors are doing every team they face in playoffs right now, they letting the best player of a team to do as he wants to the point the Superstar get exhausted for doing it all and his teammates will be guarded heavily if the superstar even dare to pass the ball to his teammates, this is the same gameplan Ja and Jokic faced on Warriors, same gameplan on Trae againts the Heat. I just noticed it that Warriors secretly exploiting this type of gameplan and noone noticing it.
Love seeing defense in the nba
Btw this isn’t the first time KD got shut down like this in the playoffs
yea he played terrible series but still averages 26, by not the first time what year are u talking about tho
I didn't expect anything from CJ, whose presence in the playoffs was miraculous to begin with anyway. Then, I believe DeRozan, Mitchell and Young are way, way overrated. So, I wasn't surprised by their failure.
If those 3 are overrated, then any star who didnt make it to playoffs are?
@@pastjdzz yep. I know the whole system wants you to think many players are amazing, but the truth is only a few truly are. They may shine during the regular season, it doesn't mean they're great.
It's crazy to think how KAT and Dlo are considered veterans now lmao. It seems like yesterday when they were seen as young stars
It’s weird because they both recently became veterans when they turned 26 this season
NBA is just so weird because you can enter the league at 18-19, so by the time you're barely 26, you're 7 or 8 seasons in. 8 years in the NFL and you're probably 30 or 31 lol
KD was playing like someone stole his talent in thunderstruck sheesh
Imo CJ did a good job in the playoffs. Could be better efficiently but still did great. I don’t think he deserves to be on this list tho.
2:53 😂 I’m not gonna forgot that (ish )😂 😂😂😂
But for real nice videos 😊😊😊
Naw I can’t put that much blame on trae cuz of the help, and u said it too, I believe he will bounce back, he’s got insane potential
Marcus Smart deserves his respect. He’s a hounding defender.
It's funny how sometimes the little point guard can be the baddest dude on the team. Respect
Great analysis!
It's time for another interesting video by mr andy keep going Godbless
Donovan peaked too early and because it seemed like he became a star quicker comparing to his draft mates, people overrated him. Donovan can score but is very limited and didn't show any signs of improvement in his game.
History repeat itself like DWill
Warriors back in WCF, Durant is fishing in Cancun with LeBron🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember when the bulls where top 1-3 seed..
They said DeRozan should be MVP.
LoL!
Demar gets a pass bro they had Zo AC and Zach missing.
Dam I thought cj played well during the playoffs
I actually surprised nobody talked about how poor he played in the postseason
Dude. CJ should not even be on this list. He did fine vs Suns. Putting him 2nd makes no sense.
Trae should be number 1 followed by Donovan.
Trae had 3 ppl on him at times
He was getting guarded by Jimmy, PJ, And Bam in the same possession repeatedly 😭😭😭
Yeah, if any player is getting that kind of attention by a team in multiple possesions throughout the game, that's basically them saying "Alright, he's that dude, let's bring him down".
Effort by the Heat > Trae falling short
@@tazkannon7403 exactly!
I expected more from Anthony Davis oh wait he didn’t make the playoffs….
Bruh this is just cold 😂
bro let me break your foot, and ask you to go to work and be employee of the month, do it.. now
@@jvnnyprod I will gladly do that for the money he is making lol
a healthy AD puts the lakers into instant contention
Then why talk about him…
Donovan Mitchell is the new DeRozan-great offensive player in the regular season that doesn’t make an impact in the playoffs and plays horrible defense
To be fair d Mitchell went crazy thr playoffs the previous 2 years. I wanna see how he plays next season before saying he doesn't preform in the playoffs.
Jokic?
@@leclark5067 Jokic made a impact in the playoffs.

For DeRozan it's obvious, he has anxiety issues and pressure of the play-off games is just too much for him to handle...
Nah you didnt watch the games he was balling. Thats straight cap he had no help
tbh I wasn't expecting more from kd and Irving. They're soft and past their prime. good luck winning a chip in brooklyn.
KD and Kyrie should have been much higher on this list
kyrie doesn't even play m,uch. he should be put into hall of shame with Ben simmons./
I thought everyone knew the bulls weren’t gonna do jack in the playoffs. Two inefficient difficult shot makers who play little defense with a horrible defensive big isn’t ever gonna work anymore. Horribly constructed team, hopefully they turn it around.
How come Trae doesnt get flack for lack of support, but Derozen does? I understand Derozen has a reputation, but this season was different
Lebron himself lmao)
Case in point: He got traded for Kawhi and they won a championship immediately afterwards
@@icupnibba3533 Demar had guys out theyhad no shot
Wolves was 4th seed and fell 7th so fast
Kd and kyrie should be 2 and 1. both got shut down.
Derozan still did good in his first season, I’m hoping he steps up next
I don't think Andy was taking anything away from him for his regular season. It's just that we hoped for more from him in the playoffs.
Derozan? Step up? In the playoffs? 😂
"defensively he couldn't guard a parked car" made me holler
Next vid: we expected more from these players, 2nd round edition
Soon to be added: James Harden
Can you make a vid about the Raptors this year as well? They really played their hearts out with only g league and undrafted players.
I forgot A. Edwards is a 2nd year player. He is a monster already.
CJ was great in the play offs. they just faced Suns but still gave them headache.
I just knew that Jazz is weak, even when they were number 1 last year.
KAT Foul trouble is the main weakness of Timberwolves.
I can't see him ever getting better,
Everyone knows he is overrated
Great video
When I see Andy, I press a LIKE button
Dudes a professional hater 🤣
As a Bills fan I'm glad the Bulls got one win because of Derozan better than getting swept
as a heat fan i was really disappointed by the playoffs performance from herro, sure he won 6th man but he didn’t transition this from regular season to playoffs. my boi lost his minutes just because he couldn’t play defense. i couldn’t also remember a good game from him in that playoff run, he should have been the one helping jimmy at least in terms of scoring. i’m still bitter about that loss vs celtics i feel like we could have won it if jimmy got help.
Utah might blow it up. Way too much committed to Gobert, who’s looking more and more like a one trick pony. Hopefully they can trade him, retain Mitchell, and try again.
Ironic, because Mitchell's a one trick pony too. Still the same play style since he got drafted
When will Jazz fans realize Gobert is not the problem. Jazz won’t win anything until their perimeter defense improves.
This video will need to be updated soon. Harden need to be in the lists.
I didn't expect anything different from D'Angelo Russell and Karl Anthony Towns both are regular season players.
The Jazz did blow it up.
I think it would be very cool if you made a video looking back on your previous predictions
Cj was balling idk what you’re talking about he performed and no even expected the pels to do that good
D Mitchell is a hell of a player he’s been in the playoffs damn near every year since he was in the league and robbed of a roty.
CJ shouldn't be here in my opininon. 1st and 2nd spot should be 2 Jazz stars or Nets.
I still don’t understand why DeMar still struggles in the Playoffs despite playing very good
He didnt struggle in the playoffs idk ehat Andy is talking about he averaged 26 ppg
@@kylewubz8713 he tends to put all the wrongs of a team on one player
Getting doubled all the time because his team mates didn’t step up
Thats the 8 person u expect too much andy.
To me i dnt think cj disappointed he got trade mid season and his team will come back with Zion lol
Number 1 is James Harden. That man is done and just killed the process. Should’ve signed Jimmy in 18 and traded Ben back then. Would’ve won a chip by now bc sixers would’ve gotten a lot more for Ben back then
Ben Simmons is broken. He needs to see a sports psychologist. He won’t play
Your channel is great , you have so much good content man , there is only one thing i truly dislike about the videos is that repetitive music.. please replace it , it's frustrating
is that a Cosgrove channel bg music in the beginning?
Honestly I never expected anything from Mitchell
I don't think it's fair to judge these underperformances too heavily. In a 7 game series, the game is basically a matchup lottery. You could have a Pokemon team of 6 pseudo-legendary Dragon type Pokemons and beat all 8 gym leaders but, if the first elite four has a team of cute Fairy type Pokemons, your Dragon type Pokemons look useless, no matter how many switches, revives, or full restores you use.
Good analogy 😭
I don’t know Pokémon like that, but I got you lol
Who knew an analogy between basketball and pokemon would be so in-depth and actually make sense. Kudos man for this xD
Not gonna lie, I like how you explain this using basketball and pokemon.
That's why you teach HM Strength or TM Body Slam on Dragons.
I would argue we hoped for better from Kat & Dlo and isntead got exactly what no one was surprised to see. A total no show and lack of fortitude
Minnesota fan here. Absolutely no surprise to see us bounced.
Do Grizzles have two all stars?
Davis don't deserve to be in 75.
Facts
I didn’t expect a thing from
CJ. He’s a solid player but let’s be real
Donovan Mitchell has proven one thing about himself: Shaq was right
It's sad rlly, cuz back when Shaq said that, everyone thot he was a hater - Mitchell was def up on the rise last season.
@@Madararocks33 in 1st half they move the ball around to generate open shots. But in 2nd half they either just go iso, or they stop making their open shots AND can’t get stops on the other end of the floor. It’s a mental thing imo
@@JCLaw1116 and also d mitch and clarkson sometime holds the ball too much..
@@Madararocks33 yea exactly they iso too much. It’s just sad to see how Mitchell didn’t improve at all this season. He didn’t become a better passer nor a better defender, and he most certainly didn’t improve his leadership and bball IQ. I feel like once the Jazz inevitably trade Gobert, I don’t think they’ll make the playoffs next season cuz their defence will be horrendous. Mitchell’s scoring alone does not make a good playoff team.
When defence back to sufficient level, those stars lose in bad shape
DeMar DeRozan another choke time in playoffs 🤣😂🤣
