Beat Air Jordan 12 Playoff eBay Restoration by Vick Almighty

- Vick Almighty restores this beat pair of Air Jordan 12 Playoffs bought on eBay. When we were buying these shoes we thought they were from 2004, but once we received the shoes we discovered they were actually the 2012 pair. It pained us to see a shoe that MJ wore to start his second title run was it such condition. These Playoff 12’s needed a full deep clean, repaint, mid-sole deoxidation and minor reglue to fix some sole separation. Vick started this project by giving the shoes a deep clean using Reshoevn8r 3-Brush Laundry Kit and Sneaker Laundry Detergent. He also shared a Pro Tip by using the Brass Bristle Brush to get deeper stains out of the rubber Out-sole. After the shoes were cleaned, Almighty deoxidized the out-sole by using some Salon Care 40 and the good old Sun. This is a slow process so make sure you have some patience. After the soles were un-yellowed it was time to re-glue. This video is the exact reason why I decided to invest in an indoor setup for deoxidizing soles. Cheaping out is not worth the risk and headache of trying to fix separation. I used some pointers from the Vick2000 video, tweaked it a bit, and got all my stuff from amazon.

Easiest way to tell the difference between ‘04 and ‘12 is the ‘04 version has a black jumpman on the sole instead of red. Just a heads up for anybody looking for a pair online.

I just bought some beat ‘16 French Blue 12s for 80$, bottoms aren’t terribly worn, just scuffed up on the front midsole and blue panels, they need a lil love, but don’t look to bad on foot

i got a pair of these at a goodwill for 5$. they're pretty beat up, a few patches of paint loss on the uppers, and a bit of midsole seperation, but it's not a bad buy for 5$

The crazy thing is, these 12’s & the 13’s are both referred to as the “Playoffs”... but Jordan actually played in them during the All - Star games of ‘97 & ‘98 earlier in those years first. So, they actually should be called the “All - Stars” instead.

Idk why but its kinda cool to me what real OG shoes are made of compared to the retro stuff out there. But this is looking blue not black

bro the salon care 40 will prob work. Do it like vick did in the video he paints in on and saran wraps it and puts in the sun for a few hours until the yellowing comes off. I would recommend that u watch some jordan 11 restorations because the 11s have patented leather and i think they restored some. Follow the steps and u be aiight just cop some salon care 40

Question: When a shoe is restored, can you use it on court without fear that the glue or something will wear off or fall off easily? Or this restoration is meant for people who only want to use these shoes for walking/posing/whatever?
I'd probably just use it for casual wear, but I'm sure if it got torn up from court use you could repair it again
you you prep the shoe properly for a reglue and use a good glue, it'll hold the same if not better than factory.
