    I love it when you explain tips and tricks when you're doing your modeling. It's the little things that make a difference between a cardboard model and a cardstock beauty. I really enjoy what you do and show. I've been waiting for you to come back and am so glad you did. Until next time - Chuck

      Chuck, thanks for being patient with my absence... Each time when composing these I'm always struggling with how much detailed to show versus the length of the video! Always glad for your feedback, Sam

    I'm beginning to see how layering (a carry over from Photoshop you previously displayed) works on the physical model itself. Two layers of trim and windows with the second layering of boards added to the side will allow the window and trim pieces to stick out (in relief) one layer once the individual boards are applied. Gonna have to get my head in gear when I do a model. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I'll be using those techniques as I begin my next build. Cheers from eastern TN

      @@ModelRailroadCardStock Goodday Sam, I hope I'am not wrong but the models that you use are in O scale ... ? If so, can I use the same technic in H0 scale, you think ? Thanks in advance ;-)

    • @ModelRailroadCardStock
      @ModelRailroadCardStock  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MM-ul7sb Yes, all my video examples are using O scale. In theory the principles are the same no matter what the scale. What may change is the paper weight, lighter for smaller scales. A good source is to visit the Clever Models site, start with their blog page: clevermodels.squarespace.com/blog/. And then while there you use the Search feature: clevermodels.squarespace.com/search. that will bring up related links on their site about your topic. Also various information on topic threads at their "Join the Discuss" page: clevermodels.squarespace.com/discussion/ Lastly, many thanks for taking an interest in Cardstock modeling, and taking time to watch the videos. All the best, Sam

    I'm having trouble editing my posts as TH-cam sometimes won't take the edits you've made to the post unless you restart the program. I'm wondering if you use the Elmer's glue full strength or water it a bit. I have an old plastic oiler tube that used to contain smoke juice for the model engine that's been empty for years. Maybe I could fill it with Elmer's and use it since it has a nice needle on it or maybe I could even use a syringe I've got after getting out of the hospital with open heart surgery in 2018. The syringe also has a nice needle to use applying glue. Cheers - eastern TN

    I've got some Avery card stock #3200 for making greeting cards with an inkjet printer. I cannot find what the weight of the card stock is as it is not listed on the box anywhere. It just says "heavy weight" card stock. Any ideas? I've got several hundred of different card stock pages of the same weight, light green, grey, light yellow, light blue and brown I used for making some WWII boxes for different things. I'm thinking I could print on regular paper (even have some sea foam bond paper--very lightweight) I could print and glue to the card stock. Think that would work? If I remember correctly that's what I did a few years ago when I tackled the first card stock project -- the Taylor's General store in HO scale. Cheers from eastern TN
