I wonder how many kids went into one of the sciences because of them letting the kids take part. It's one thing to see something in a museum, but to dig it up yourself would have been very cool. My own love of history came from visiting runes of Native Americans. I love watching, but nothing can beat doing.

A couple of the kids from another video are medical researchers with M.D. and PhD degrees.

I was thinking the same. Time Team was a real contribution to the UK public. I love watching the children get involved.

Being Aussie I missed all this stuff live but I'm addicted. I wish I'd seen it live so I had more idea what I was looking at in the UK and Europe.
Shows like this are amazingly educational and immersive.

Another 3 great classic episodes from the Team. Mick was always a pioneer in getting the community involved in archeology and it’s humbling to see the joy on the kids faces even when scratching away in the mud. Good stuff 👍

I think my favourite episode, and most people's favourite episode, was the crazy folly. But the most wonderful episodes are the community digs. I bet those people will always feel connected to the history beneath their feet.

As always, I wish the USA had the same longevity in terms of history. We get all wigged out when we find something that's 200 years old. England? Europe? The have artifacts that go back to the time of pre-history!!!!
