Hydrocephalus is treatable by brain surgery just super duper expensive. The more severe the more brain damage. I just wish they raised a go fund me to do the surgery. Most ppl just see that they cant pay it and euthanize instead ;((

It's comforting to know that Ivy was treated humanely, rather than experiencing prolonged suffering and dying outside. Not only do you save animals, but you also end the suffering of some. Somehow that's beautiful too. What an amazing team. ❤

I started crying because that's when me and my sister got our first dog and my sister was older than me and I was 4 and he had the same problem as ivy and we had to put our dog down and I'm legit tearing up rn 😥

I think I died when I saw Dottie caring for her so much to make her comfortable and stop her pain, knowing she was not well and then after she had passed. Yup, my heart shattered. I thank you from the bottom of MY heart you put Ivy back in with her so she could say goodbye. SO MANY people just take the baby away and NEVER let the mother grieve for her baby. They grieve as much as we do for their loss and to take that away from them is so shameful. I will NEVER understand how anyone can leave an animal behind or just throw them away like trash.
Sweet Ivy broke the hearts of many at her passing when Eldad first aired this rescue on TH-cam, mine included. The strength of Eldad's conviction that no animal should be left to suffer at the hands of man kind gives that beacon of hope that animals, dogs cats wildlife even that come into his care get the very best chance of survival much needed treatment and eventually a forever home who will love and care for them for the rest of their days. I am so proud to be a supporter and contributor to Eldad's cause, because there are so many dogs and cats need rescuing

I always see the comment “I’m just cutting onions, sniff, sniff” but I’m actually cutting onions. But that’s not what made my eyes sting with tears. Dogs are so incredibly special. I was probably about 8 when I first got to really spend time with a dog. She was a golden named Topaz and was an amazing mother. But what made the biggest impression was her reaction when her 2nd litter was all born stillborn. She showed me the depth of emotion that dogs have. I wasn’t allowed any pets so I’d run across the street to her house almost everyday and when her due date approached I checked in constantly. When I came over and was told her puppies were all stillborn her humans took me to her to say hello and give her love. When I walked in to her human parents room I saw the most amazing thing, she’d grabbed every stuffed animal of her human mom and surrounded herself with them and laid there trying to get them to nurse while whimpering. I ran home and grabbed a stuffed parrot and she met me at the door and gently took the stuffed animal and carried it to her nest. My heart was filled with so much emotion. Sadness, love, awe, sympathy. I felt a pain in my chest and couldn’t stop thinking about her. All these years later I still remember topaz and appreciate how much she taught me about a dogs capacity to love and to grieve.
Every time a dog resists a bit in the beginning only if they knew right away these guys are angels coming to end their pain & suffering ...thank you Hope For Paws for all the love & compassion you give these innocent beings 🙏 ❤

I always see the comment “I’m just cutting onions, sniff, sniff” but I’m actually cutting onions. But that’s not what made my eyes sting with tears. Dogs are so incredibly special. I was probably about 8 when I first got to really spend time with a dog. She was a golden named Topaz and was an amazing mother. But what made the biggest impression was her reaction when her 2nd litter was all born stillborn. She showed me the depth of emotion that dogs have. I wasn’t allowed any pets so I’d run across the street to her house almost everyday and when her due date approached I checked in constantly. When I came over and was told her puppies were all stillborn her humans took me to her to say hello and give her love. When I walked in to her human parents room I saw the most amazing thing, she’d grabbed every stuffed animal of her human mom and surrounded herself with them and laid there trying to get them to nurse while whimpering. I ran home and grabbed a stuffed parrot and she met me at the door and gently took the stuffed animal and carried it to her nest. My heart was filled with so much emotion. Sadness, love, awe, sympathy. I felt a pain in my chest and couldn’t stop thinking about her. All these years later I still remember topaz and appreciate how much she taught me about a dogs capacity to love and to grieve.
