He won the belt by being kneed on the ground which is illegal. A fight he was getting dominated in. Then he proceeded to give an oscar worthy performance of rollinf around crying and won the belt due to disqualification. He then proceeded to prance around for 9 months celebrating and showing off the belt before the rematch.. he won the rematch but still he was an asshat. I like him he's chill now but still a clown for that

@mobeck it doesn't matter. You could build bridges and buildings, but if you farted once in public, everyone will remember you as a guy who farted in public. That's what happened to this absolutely elite fighter. He "farted" in his first fight against Yan and celebrated like he dominated him
So that’s what happened, he’s just boastful…. I mean he does have skills, but cocky personalities like that make it easy to dislike
He faked a concussion to win the title. Being boastful afterwards was just the icing on the cake. He’ll have to win a half dozen more title fights to get the stink off. And even then…

My prediction if the Sterling fight goes to a decision, With 21 minutes of control time for Sterling, O'Malley wins the split decision 48-47, 47-48 and 49-46 I can already hear it "Sterling just sat on his back for 21 minutes and didnt do much, and O'Malley just barely outstruck him standing for 4 minutes so of course O'Malley won".
It ends within the first round, O'Malley dont have it in him.

I agree. He's a bit like Connor on his feet. He has very precise striking that gives him a big edge over most fighters. But like Connor, or Gaethe, once his ass is on the canvas, those striking skills are going to useless. I've seen a lot of ground specialists going up against striking specialists. The ground guys can lose, but it's rare.
