Kudos for this young man, not everyone can buy a house abroad especially when you have a financial situation , besides you have to have a good job and very great financial records.

Great video, there some mistakes in the explanation. You are not fined for overbidding. Neither the seller or buyer. Its incorrect that you wont see the owner of the house till u buy it. When you are the chosen buyer you will see them. At times you can see the owner himself selling his house without an agent. When you are chosen you have 3 working days to change your mind. Banks can take about 6 or way more to give you a loan etc. So a few misconceptions here and there. 300k is not expensive by current dutch market standards for Noord Brabant. All in all the full picture of how houses are bought in the Netherlands is not painted accurately here

It’s somewhat the same in Italy. Just for the rent, there are 3 institutions; the government (comune), private agencies and the Catholic Church.
We normally give three months advance plus the rent for the first month. When you’re leaving and everything is alright, they give you back the 3 months advance money you paid. Same thing he said for buying the house too.
I like that Zion brings out nice positive stories but I do not agree with the title of his video. It puts a different narrative out there because 300K house is not considered rich. A gross salary of 60K could get you such a mortgage in the Netherlands. 60K per year is considered an ok salary. Let me put it like this, a bachelor degree in the STEM with 5 years working experience could earn that per year. A masters graduate in the STEM can do it a but quicker. A bsc or msc in the strategy consulting or one of the BIg 4 companies with say 3 years experience can also earn 60k or more per year

IT administrator is a really good industry, in Australia some can earn like 350per hour, I work in state procurement and we processes the work contract for all IT services request. He has good job
Kudos to the young man. U don’t have to be rich to own a house. U just have to maintain a good credit. No one wants to loan money to a poor man/woman. 😂 We are retired & relocated to Texas from Massachusetts. We own a 4- bedroom 2- story house in a small city outside Houston, Texas. Our two children are grown & leading their own lives. Right now in America because of high interest rates, the market 4 housing is not too good.
We plan in few years time to move to a small condo & live between Ghana & America. America afo no me after 50 plus years stay. Yes end houses have better sale rate. I live on a corner house with only a neighbor on our side. It makes a difference.

But, I still recommend him because a lot of younger guys who had higher salaries have wasted their money on unnecessary things!
