I actually like how JJK is scaled down in terms of “power scaling” if that’s the correct word for it. It’s hard to enjoy a story or understand the logic with FTL characters that can apparently wipe out planets with a flick of their fingers. JJK is a bit frustrating since Special-Grades apparently can take on whole armies and conquer countries by themselves (Long-term). To do that you can’t simply be slower than a bullet but as fast as an F1 car, and able to only survive a building falling on you. You’d need to be considerably more powerful than that. but still. It’s a nice change of pace.

Things need to happen narratively, so there's no way they'd write characters who are actually FTL. It's just us, in the powerscaling community who like to quantify things, so crossverse battles are more accessible and digestible. Think about it. If you had never seen either show and I told you that Boruto is as fast as Baryon mode. You'd nod your head, not having understood anything, hoping that I'd just move on from the alien conversation. 😅 But with power scaling, we can relate those feats to terms that are concrete and numerical, so everyone can understand. Just know that there's a separation to how powerscaling works, and how the shows actually function. That's the tldr.

I just heard you say Boruto loses in hand to hand combat and that is just so wrong. Boruto even as a genin excels in multiple fighting style. He got trained by Naruto, the Hyuga, Sasuke, and Kashin Koji, not to mention the thousands of years of battle experience that he has.
Boruto does not have momo's experience and skills, Code directly stated while fighting boruto first time that the user has to know how to draw out and connect that experience/skill, also it is heavily implied that you have to be competant, connected and train yourself to use it's potential, Kawaki is more comfortable with karma yet it seems he is unable to draw out all that experience and is struggling to connect even with the knowledge. Boruto always sucked and rejected karma, he agreed to use it for a while but now it he went back to supressing it.
It should give them the xp, code said you become a fighter right away. But boruto is still better than kawaki because he actually trained without karma .

I actually like how JJK is scaled down in terms of “power scaling” if that’s the correct word for it.
It’s hard to enjoy a story or understand the logic with FTL characters that can apparently wipe out planets with a flick of their fingers.
JJK is a bit frustrating since Special-Grades apparently can take on whole armies and conquer countries by themselves (Long-term).
To do that you can’t simply be slower than a bullet but as fast as an F1 car, and able to only survive a building falling on you.
You’d need to be considerably more powerful than that.

It's important to remember that very often the show writers have no regard for the power scaling of their shows. Not to this extent.
Things need to happen narratively, so there's no way they'd write characters who are actually FTL. It's just us, in the powerscaling community who like to quantify things, so crossverse battles are more accessible and digestible.
Think about it.
If you had never seen either show and I told you that Boruto is as fast as Baryon mode. You'd nod your head, not having understood anything, hoping that I'd just move on from the alien conversation. 😅
But with power scaling, we can relate those feats to terms that are concrete and numerical, so everyone can understand.
Just know that there's a separation to how powerscaling works, and how the shows actually function. That's the tldr.

Boruto does not have momo's experience and skills, Code directly stated while fighting boruto first time that the user has to know how to draw out and connect that experience/skill, also it is heavily implied that you have to be competant, connected and train yourself to use it's potential, Kawaki is more comfortable with karma yet it seems he is unable to draw out all that experience and is struggling to connect even with the knowledge. Boruto always sucked and rejected karma, he agreed to use it for a while but now it he went back to supressing it.
It should give them the xp, code said you become a fighter right away.
But boruto is still better than kawaki because he actually trained without karma .
