i to grew up here every sat, sitting in lawnchairs on the grass in turn 2,wish i still had the little mini toy cars they sold at the concessions.those were the days.just started going again with my kids, makes me think of my dad and uncle richard green who both dabbled in a little racing.
I don't know exactly what year this video was filmed (maybe 1985-1987 range) but the Pacer was raced by two different people at Five Mile in the 1980's that I know of. It looks like the number on the car is 01. If so, the driver would be Jim Theobald. Dave Kneisel built a Pacer (might be this car, not sure) and Merv Treichler also raced a Pacer, Different looks to each car but a Pacer, nonetheless.
I wish one of these tracks in the area of New York and Pennsylvania. (Yeah that’s a big area) Would start a bug class! And get rid of the full body, 4 bangers with the fart cannons for exhaust. I bet if you started a mini modified bug class. You would get a lot of competitors.
I ran here and at Penn Can in the late models..1985-1988 love to see those years!

I raced at the point in the early to mid 80s (c11) what a blast
Racing at 5 Mile, gives you a better appreciation of your home track.
@working_country ___ if you've ever raced at 5 mile, and have another track as your home ground, you wouldn't need to ask your question!
Was that a Pacer body at 4:15? I don’t ever remember seeing a dirt or asphalt modified with that body back then! Love the video!
