Honestly, Nathan wasn't far off the mark with his dilemmas. Winning the lottery isn't always what it seems. As the saying goes, more money more problems. Getting stabbed in the leg sucks but once it happens it's over and done with. Winning the lottery presents a cascade of problems that can last a lifetime. Also, on the surface it seems like it's better to have a good job over a bad one, but bad jobs can build character in a person that will pay off into the future. Lastly, I have a couple friends that have had a bad nightmare like the one Nathan describes. They have had sleeping problems for years because they are terrified of what will happen once they shut their eyelids. Each has told me they'd give up their arm for a good night's rest.
