Saw this concert live and it was really sad to hear her lost her voice on one of her major concert. Actually the first part you saw " What kind of fool am I " audio was just an overture. She is still at the backstage. The first song she sang was shine (fast/disco version) and when she started singing, i noticed there is something wrong with her voice. She tried to continue the concert for an hour and she said she was ecpecting that the crowed would BOO her and walk away, but instead everybody shouted " IT'S OK WE LOVE YOU!! " and everybody continous to cheer her. Then she decided in front of the stage without consulting her manager ( her sister ) that she will re stage again the concert for FREE, because everyone deserve more and she wants to show how this concert should be done.
I remember also mariah incident on new year event, people ridiculed her despite her vocal greatness for decades. They are also human and some people forgot that. We support regine despite this incident.
I honestly think it is impossible for Regine to give a horrible performance even with her voice at it's worst condition..She is just that good..Her weakest performances are still waaay better than those by other singers..I remember many years back even with barely a speaking voice, she would still belt out D5's to G5's with minimal effort..Regine truly is a beast of a vocalist!!!
“I've completely lost my voice. I've never experienced that. In the past, I don't have my speaking voice but I could still sing. I've lost my voice in many instances in the past but I can still sing. This time (Silver Concert) I couldn't. My voice was always reliable..” - Regine in an interview with Boy Abunda.
This tho is one of my favorite and most unforgettable concert of Regine (after Regine at the Theatre and One Night with Regine). During the opening, right of the bat, everyone noticed that there's something wrong. You can see the audience looking concerned and are whispering, it's my first time watching her live and that's not how I expectd it to be. When she declared that she contracted a virus and can't sing, people understood and admired her bravery. The night was not for her to sing to her supporters but it's the other way around. I told myself that I will sing my heart out, to help her at least just a little. She has been singing for us for a long time now, so this time, I'd sing for her. I believe most people thought the same, that's why everyone was singing for/with her. That night showed how iconic Regine is and how people love and respect her work all these years. What an experience, truly unforgettable!
That's why we, her fans loves her. Regardless if she's feeling well or not, she's giving her all.. always. The pure intention everything for her fans is there. Reason why she's the queen. Kindly react to her Silver Rewind concert please. Thank you and stay safe.
vice ganda said " regine, we don't need to hear you sing highnotes or mind-blowing high notes, We already know your capabilities and how Great you were"
50%of Regine is better than most of the industry anyway, 51yrs of age and she's still got the power and the range, no wonder Morissette still looks up to her, what a role model, she should have been far and away the dominant ARTIST in her younger days, the WOMAN is an ICON 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
I was there during my 18th bday a gift from my sister. It was memorable evryone cried during the show we all sang with her. She was suffering from acid reflux there
During the concert, there were a lot of artists tried to fill in or sang with her on some of her numbers, like her bestfriend Lani and her forever impersonators Vice Ganda and Anton Diva(the first to sing with her in this video, On the wings of love). But in some parts she can't really sing and her voice cracks, it was painful to watch but heartfelt at the same time because of the supportive fans. Right after the concert, many big names in the industry reached out to help her for a repeat concert. She promised to do it again for free, coz that's what her "friends"(fans) deserves, she said. And the repeat happened and it was a blast!
I was there that night and I must say, it was one of, if not the most memorable concert I've ever been to. Despite of what happened, the entire arena was full of love and emotions. I believe that night was simply a proof of how us, her fans, BELIEVE in her talent and how we genuinely love her as the QUEEN no matter what.
Will never forget this. The fans were so supportive here. Everytime regine hit a note or a voice came out of her they were cheering for her and did not leave. Regine tried hard but have to cut the concert short and promise to give a free concert to all ticket holders when her voice gets back. So she did and did not disappoint.
Dito ako naiyak, tapos may tumulong sau sa gitna ng nahihirapan ka, kc matulungin si ms, reg kaya nasusuklian sya ng mga natulungan nya... i love you both
Oh they deleted the bad parts. You havent seen the parts where she had lots of voice cracks then she would stop and cry. Like she was helpless. It was so sad. You should check out her behind the scenes practising for that concert. Soooooo good
Oh i remember one more tidbit. In an interview Regine said, when she knew she had to cut the concert short, she pushed just so she could finish all the numbers with guest performers in it so they would all get paid. I mean what a queen!!
I used to think that fans crying over their idols' performance (good or bad) is ridiculous. But on that night, I felt for her. I was there. Right at the very first song I already knew something wasnt right. Her voice faltered on notes that were just impossible for her to miss and it wasnt a challenging song at all. It escalated. I was there thinking, "Regine...just stop. Just rest your voice. We know youre having a hard time. We can just hangout and talk here and I personallybwouldnt mid if we just make this like a talk show instead of a concert. Just rest and do this some other time when youre well rested". But she went on... it was so hard to watch not because she didnt deliver but because we knew she was already hurting. And I cant imagine someone booing her. That person wont come out alive.
Well this night’s really different because we have never seen her in such vulnerable state. Before this she was UN👏TOUCH 👏A 👏BLE 👏. She’s known to be that diva who powers through sickness. There were days that she had no speaking voice - zilch, nada, kaput - but her singing voice was just fine, and this night came as a huge shock not only to the fans but Regine herself. When i tell you, there was no dry eye in the arena. She was so disappointed as she had prepared thoroughly for that concert only to be derailed by sickness at the last minute. Many believe that this was a major turning point for her as a performer. Even in her R3.0 concert she briefly spoke about how Silver changed her perspective and attitude about performing. After Silver, we started hearing the deep, rich, and motherly tone we all are familiar with. This was a result of slight adjustment in her usual vocal placement, which was advised by her vocal coach (and yes, aside from the legendary training she received from her father, this is the only time we hear the queen having help from a vocal coach). This was a really really pivotal era, and one for the books. It started sad but of course we all know this had a happy ending in Silver Rewind.
The Dadalhin in this concert is my favourite because she sounded really sad with the hoarse voice should listen to it full when you have time :) Also she sounds breathy almost like Mariah 🥰, beautiful sound even when sick.
That's how honest Regine is. She admitted her voice is not there and she just can't sing like people want her to. She's not afraid to talk about it, that's why her fans stayed with her. And most importantly, she never tried to lipped. She admitted her voice is not there, and that's it.
Actually, this is just the tip of the iceberg. There were worse moments in this concert where her voice would persistently crack and falter. Before, even if her speaking voice sounds really hoarse, she can still sing as if she is not sick. For the first time in her career, her singing voice got compromised, and it was all over the news. So this concert was quite eventful, to say the least. After a few months, she restaged the show for free, and then it was entitled "Silver: Rewind." Check out more videos, Mathias! Love your reactions.
Jona also had the same moment during her concert Journey into My Heart. It just goes to show how professional and how they love their supporters despite of their voice conditions they still insisted to show up and perform.
The week before the concert her son got viral infection, and because she takes care of her son, she got sick also. She decided to push through the concert because before, in some of her past concerts she's also not feeling well but she manages to sing and hit high-high notes. But in this one she could not sing properly and knowing Regine she wants the best performance for her fans, that's also one of the reasons why she staged Silver even though shes not feeling well. The concert was cut short, Regine went out and announced she'll redo the concert for free. And said 'I'll show you how it should be done!'. Jan. 5, 2013 Regine did the promised free concert, Silver Rewind. I was there and really showed us how the concert should be done. There's a video of the full Silver Rewind here in TH-cam. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 th-cam.com/video/ft6zp5AHUAc/w-d-xo.html
You should watch also when Morisssette lost her voice in concert but she still sing Akin Ka Na Lang. Love your reactions! ❤️✨ I'm a fan of Queen Regine, Morrissette, Katrina and Jona.
I remember this is also happened to Morissette. Where she also lost her voice during her concert Morissette Made on Dubaj but despite that, she still keep going on singing. And by those experiences, Regine adviced to Morissette that the goal is not having songs with the difficult and highest notes, but its about Longevity of the voice and the career so that's their common goal :) I hope you can also react to the concert where Morissette lost her voice I think its Morissette Made in Dubai.
Most of the amazing singers are also human. We must not forget that. Morissette also has a fail moment in Asap. Jona in her concert. And regine. Despite that incident, they keep shining. And now, they are known throughout the world. That didnt stop them to keep performing.
That's why I believe that even though we see them as inhuman level-like of talent, they still have these bad days in their life and that's completely normal. Yes they are freaking amazing and talented, but the truth is they are human just like us too. They can get tired, or sick at some point of their lives, but that's completely fine because we all knew how gifted they are. I remember Morissette had this kind of moment too where she lost her voice and like couldn't sing because of the hoarseness of her voice, but for that one final song, she sang Akin Ka Na Lang and even though you can hear how hoarse and tired her voice was, she still gave her all. I truly admire them in times like these. I appreciate their best days so yeah, I appreciate also their bad and worst days. ❣️
She repeat the concert on a different date (after recovering) for free to all who purchased the tickets on that concert. She came back much stronger and gave the fans what they deserve.
All the guest are not totally part of the show, they are Only audience, but because of the situation, they conspired and called them to help her finish the show
This saddened me also. I felt bad for her. But she staged it again and manage to pull off. Also, I remember this happened to Jona on her Journey Into My Heart concert, that's her last concert as Jonalyn Viray before she signed to ABS CBN and became Jona.
BTW: You can also search and watch Morissette when she lost her voice in a live concert show. She had to do it one more time and did well so, but she cried backstage. Batteries of concerts in and out of the country plus changes of weather that makes her lost her voice
Pls listen and react to Paulette Cambronero when she sung “My Way” in a lounge restaurant in Asia. She is Filipina that needs to be known. She’s like Soyang of Korea…
i think she's having a hard time to hit highnotes like sustained 5th octave notes but overall it still sounds amazing it's a good choice that she's dropping the key compare to the original without being pitchy that's a real singer right there she knows her instrument
Yes she admitted that during that time she had a very bad acid reflux & her voice doesn't come out whatever she do, it was just very tired. So she said, keep your tickets & see u on the repeat/rewind silver concert! I will show you what a real concert is! & Boom! When that happened it was a blast! Every minute of the concert is worth it & she even make it higher than the original!
To help her to finish the concert and to support.. other singers and performers who are in the audience willingly walk to stage and perform with regine impromptu.
my voice professor in music school told me that one day Regine will lost her voice because of the techniques she is using when she is singing and that was year 1997 when they told me
Actually she lost her voice that time...if you watch the full video i remember she has hoarse voice and the voice cracked...but i remember a time also when she lost her voice in a noontime show.at GMA network she was able to sing. She can sing but not as effortless as she normally do...after singing at her speaking voice its crack and it was funny...try to lookfor that too
she cant belt then, she was advised not to appear at stage and instead cancel the show but she refused and still performed, she told the audience her condition and said the show must go on, during the show she announce to keep their tickets and she will do a repeat of that concert for free....and jokingly tell that she will sell her earrings to a personality she mentioned to fund that plan........and thats the story of it........on whats shes suffering that time is acid reflux.....
Actually regine can still sing even having a hoarse voice before.. Thats why shes so disappointed in her silver concert.... try to listen on her performance here th-cam.com/video/xq-6hA_9tPs/w-d-xo.html
Instead of bashing her or booed her, she gained more respect from her fellow Filipino....
We love her so much.🥰🥰🥰
I cried so much on this concert, everyone in the concert hall is crying... She always admit that after this concert, her voice has changed...
I'm crying while watching this. She is suffering from the pain in this show. Ahh. My heart breaks

I was there. And still one of the most unforgettable concerts of Regine. The arena was full of love that night
The cost is too much to repeat the concert, but regine still did it. The rewind is incredible, her comeback is legendary.
After that concert and the repeat concert, more people admire regine and now, she's reigning Still. Still our queen and still the voice to beat 💗

Singing" on the Wings of love " with her is Anton Diva, the only one who can almost copy paste her voice and she's a Transwoman.. 😍🥰😘♥️
All the guest are not totally part of the show, they are Only audience, but because of the situation, they conspired and called them to help her finish the show
Me loving Caution as background music

Her voice wqs cracking when she belts, her voice is exhausted,

These performance of her shows that she really have the best technique in singing. How can you sound good when you are in your hoarse voice?
This saddened me also. I felt bad for her. But she staged it again and manage to pull off.

i think she's having a hard time to hit highnotes
