Btw the mic on this headset is on a lower hz out the box, i set it from 16k hz to 32khz in windows settings it increases the quality of the mic a lot!
thanks!
@user-lp9bo4nl3y np it sounds amazing with it changed enjoy
perfect thank you
Great tip! Thanks
how can I do this for console? I have xbox series x
Just a fyi, the microphone actually has a built in pop filter. Look at the big mesh grill on the front. As far as a mic for comms go, this is pretty much perfect. It’s super clear, has zero signal noise and won’t interrupt the game sounds for your teammates (which a lot of very pricey desktop mics do, I’m looking at you Shure)
They gave us a classic wireless gaming headset with no bs. No RGB, no bluetooth, no ANC, no fuss. Yet it retains the important elements: super high quality build, great sound, great mic, very comfortable, absurdly good battery life. That's all most gamers need. $170 for such a premium sounding/feeling headset is not a lot. Many headsets are $270-330 these days, this costs nearly half that, how can you expect all these features at that price for something most don't even need? These features add weight and cost. Something to think about.
Agree 100% and most times, if they add those extra features, there are shortcomings elsewhere. Sure the Nova 7x has Bluetooth at that price point, but the build is crap and you only get a 1 year warranty in US with Steelseries. Mine creaks non stop and the earcups are too small for me to be comfortable.
As I said in the video it's a great headset, but it just needs sometbhnhing more! And HyperX/HP know they are banking off this.
I agree 100% it's a good headset and does the fundamentals well. Good sound, good mic, good comfort. My only gripe is they could've had velour or cloth pads instead of the leatherette only. I have a large head. I wear a size XL hat. This headset is very comfortable for me. It's definitely a top headset and one I would recommend easily.
@@TheTechnebut how is the sound compared to the expensive ones? If it is close or able to use eq to get close then it might be worth the price, with all the functions cut that I for example wont use, but if the sound is also definitely worse then something like stealth pro might still be worth it?
What wireless headset would you recommend (for pc) without needing all the fancy functions
I have at home right now, all wireless headset: cloud 2, alpha, cloud 3 and g pro x 2. The cloud 3 is my top pic for sound quality and by far! There is a little less bass but the sound clarity and the details you get is amazing.
1: cloud 3
2: g pro x 2
3: cloud 2
4 cloud alpha
With the alpha the sound is amazing ! But there is so much bass and treble, it hurts my hears past 30 minutes
I absolutely love that you were completely honest about this all. I can appreciate a review that I can tell is unbiased
Hi, I got little static noise when is mic monitoring ON.
Also my friend told me there is small static noise when I am talking on discord :(
It is any way to fix it ? Thanks for answer :)
How does the sound of this conpare to the turtle beach stealth pro? Ofcourse its lacking many functions, but what about just the sound?
what do you recommend this or the epos h6pro closed back ? i mainly play cs2
Does the DTS spatial audio work on PS5 or only PC. It's unclear on their website, and if it doesn't, then I wouldn't consider these for Playstation
I absolutely hate the plastic headband hinges from a past experience, the cloud 2 the logitech g pro wireless and the corsair hs70 pro all of them had cracks in the plastic hinges of the headband, Idk if its because my head is big or something, can u guys pls recommend a headset that gets rid of this problem? I was thinking about the hs80 max because the hinges are not plastic I think
So I looked up that this was compatible with xbox and they all said yes and I bought em and it's not working so now I'm thinking do they have to be wired to work so if it does then that defeats the whole purpose for grabbing them
How would the wireless be for compared to my wired cloud 2? I like the audio though before having this I was spoiled with a wireless headset. Is the sound around the same? I really just need them for headphones around my small apartment and stuff.
can't you use this ones with and USB A to USB c adapter in your phone ?
He Techne do you recommend these or Alpha Wireless?
Can you pause/play videos on the headset directly?
You say there could be something more; what other headsets are there that is about this price with better quality? I am actually curious because I am considering on buying a new headset for around this price range; nothing above $170.
i just bought mine and it sounds so low even everything is on 100% and i cant hear footsteps in fps games if you have any recommendation how to fix it or what other headphones do you recommend, thanks in advanced
Are the 53mm drivers better than 50mm drivers, does having them make them special in any way?
Hey Techne can you raise the volume of sidetone within the app?
Isn’t this headset pretty flat as far as gaming headsets go? Aka you get the whole frequency like the maxwell.
I have turtle beach 600 gen 2 max was wondering what headset is better then that please let me know
I got a strange problem with this one: Every time a new sound is played there is a slight crackling. For example, when a youtube video ends and the new one starts.
It´s a sharp high pitch crackling which hurts my ears. My guess is that the headset is going in standby when there is no sound and the crackling occurs when it´s powering up. No crackling at all when i´m listening to music or in games so it´s not a broken speaker. Must be some setting somewhere.
If anybody knows pls let me know.
Hello from India, can the Microphone port work as AUX port as well?
Thanks, I was thinking the same when I saw this, same product for more money, what's there for this?
What other headset is better than this and costs less? (Others are cheaper and MSRP atm while this is brand new!) I don't know a single one
Is it possible to use it wired? Instead of the wireless way?
Dose it work for Xbox cuz I can’t find anything for that headset to be used on Xbox
Should I get this or go for the arctis 7+ ?
For a gaming headphone my main thing is dynamics and imaging. Soundstage is a nice bonus. I like the fiio ft3 with suede pads, the maxwell has pretty good dynamics as well, but can sound a bit thin in parts out of the box. Good enough, but I tend to reach for my iems more so.
HyperX have a reputation of good QC when it comes to driver matching. Imaging on these should actually be quite good.
Hyperx cloud 3 wireless OR steelseries nova 7P? For Ps5
I’m going to buy one in the morning but I got an Xbox one does it work with it
Does the DTS X actually work on these though? My current cloud Alpha's have an awful popping using DTS x that Hyperx themselves have said they arent going to try and fix anymore.
I just got a pair and mine sound and work beautifully
How does this compare to the Cloud Flight S
Bonjour tout le monde je compte acheter ce casque pour 150 euros. Y’a t’il un meilleur casque Bluetooth meilleur que celui ci pour ma ps5 au même prix ? Merci !
does 7.1 work with elgato wave 3 mic ? 🧐
Is best connectivity with ps5 or astro a20 gen 2
Any one can help me
What sounds better steelseries arctis 9x or steelseries arctis nova 7x
Wireless is pretty close to wired now, if it has the right tech. Like my btr7 sounds great in Bluetooth, even on sbc (as long as it’s a newer sbc on the device). Dongles from the maxwell have a “lossless” format that you’d have to have golden ears to tell the difference between usbc and dongle. Ldac and aptx are up there too. AAC sounds great too with newer Qualcomm chips.
Hello. I want to ask you about the method of charging the speaker. Should I charge it through the PS5 or charge it through the Apple charging head?
Hello, in the end, how did you do it?
Does it work with Xbox series and PS5 ?
The first cloud flight had the swivel, tho the swivels broke just when I replaced the earpads. So they're the first point of failure. That explains why they don't want to give em for later models.
I just glued them back on with plastic supports, I don't miss the swivel personally.
Can it be connected to a tv?
Marche t’il sur Xbox série s ?
You helped me out a ton finding a new headset. I choose the HS 80 MAX because they are stinking cozy! :)
Awesome so glad to hear 👍👍
I have the hs80 max and gave them to my little brother and bought the maxwell. Even with the update the mic isn’t as good as maxwell. The sound isn’t even close. The hs80 sound is middle of the pack. Audeze is on a whole different level 😊
without a mixer they are way to quiet compared to any other hyperx headset i have used or owned... ITs pretty shit to ask about it and be told by them to get a splitter from them and itll help bc its plugged into the mb rather then USB.. If i did that shit wouldn't that defeat the purpose of them being wireless and the price.. If thats the case I should just go back to a $60 core for crying out loud.. everything about this headset is GREAT other then the volume lvl.. no matter what I do i can not get it to where I can hear correctly or how I want to compared to the last set that I only got rid of after 4 years ish because the cheap plastic buckle broke.. Does anyone have the same issue or any solutions? I also read they did it bc the headset is shipped all over the world n the standards for hearing etc idk. thanks..
Is it compatible with Xbox series X? wirelessly?
think its worth the $130 price on amazon right now?
I have the cloud 2 wireless, let’s see what the talk on the 3s are?
Work on xbox series x?
The OG Cloud 2s were pressing on me pretty much the same way it does to you and because my arctis nova 7s is betraying me with the hinge breaking just like the OG arctis 7 I was really hoping they would improve the cloud 3s, so disappointing honestly. For someone who enjoys abit more bass, is the cloud alpha wireless a better choice for bass+comfort vs cloud 3?
I have at home right now, all wireless headset: cloud 2, alpha, cloud 3 and g pro x 2. The cloud 3 is my top pic for sound quality and by far! There is a little less bass but the sound clarity and the details you get is amazing.
1: cloud 3
2: g pro x 2
3: cloud 2
4 cloud alpha
With the alpha the sound is amazing ! But there is so much bass and treble, it hurts my hears past 30 minutes
@fido2332 its good for ps5 or not
@@fido2332бро спасибо. Буду брать Cloud 3. Облегчил выбор.
been using my Hyper X cloud 2 for over 8 years and they still work as intended! The leather is falling off of it, but soundwise its a king to yet be beaten imo. I can clearly hear the footsteps in COD warzone and many of my friends are saying they never heard the players coming! for that reason itself I say go and get a pair of HyperX. And the comfort! big earcaps and comfy. I use it for many many hours without any strains around the ears at all. highly recommend. Im using the wired version, and there's now at least 3 wireless version from HyperX to consider.
Which one did u go with?
How do I connect it to
Fr I wish hyperX would make a firmware update where u can just EQ tune ur headphone and save them inside the headphone Fr
That’d be nice cos using the cloud 2 wireless and I can’t tune it like the pc players does is really tiring
Are they worth 110$? cause i have a possibility to buy them for that price but im also considering baseus aequr gh02 and logitech g733 lightspeed and i cant really decide
I love these
Hope all companies will put usb c to their new and the refreshed products. My mouse and headset were both over 120 euros and still used micro usb 4 years and 2 years in the case of the mouse.
Anyone knows how to connect hyper cloud 3 to iPhone 14 Pro Max ?
Hello! With the type c adapter can I use them wireless on my phone too?
I have the same question. Can anyone confirm?
So would you prefer the wired version or the wireless if you take the price into consideration?
i need a answer to this!! :O
good headset but mine out of the box has volume control issues and distorted noises randomly
Is there any talks about WC making a cloth pad? The cooling gel ear pads are only cool for about 10 minutes. After that they get hotter than pretty much all the stock pads and they add a TON of extra weight. Would be nice to see them add a breathable ear cup
What the fuck are you talking about? They never get hot. They stay cool forever. They are breathable. Like what the actual fuck are you talking about here buddy?
They use to
How do these compare to the alpha wireless? Im stuck between the two.
I hear cloud 3 has a better sound quality compared to the alpha
@88rndz50 i ended up getting the alphas for the battery life and i caught a really good deal on them. Sound quality is still great 👍
Anyone with a good EQ setting here, for Modern Warfare 3 and good step sounds?
I lost my dongle, and I can't find where I could buy a new one, if that even is possible. Does anyone know where I could buy a new one?
Hello, have you solved?
swivels brake that Y kingston dont bother with it. I would like them to make the drivers 55mm instead of 53. but I think thats how they got the sound to work so dam good. they are the only ones in between. every one else uses 50s or 60s
it cost like 130 now is it still worth it ??
Does anybody else get glitch like noises when using this head set and if so does anybody know a fix
Yup. These headphones are crap. Return or sell. My $30 A10s sound 20x better
Funny thing is I have looked for this type of headset for a long time, I dont need any extra features just a good 2,4 ghz wireless headset with good comfort (I dont like heavy and I dont like strong clamping force), good microphone and good sound quality for gaming & music. This headset just checks all of my boxes, but still I am totally agree with you, for 170$ It is overpriced. I will wait for sale.
This exactly, i was searching for a very long time and this headset just nails it. Neutral and clean sound, very good comfort, good build, long battery life, good mic, sidetone, stable connection. I don't need those features. I think for that price it's totatally justified (it will get cheaper over time anyways). There is not one headset that delivers on these things like that AND has those features. The Stealth Pro isn't perfect either
Im not sure if to just go with this, or maybe the razer, or just go all out for stealth pro.
I don’t know if you will see this 2 months later but it’s now on sale for $100!
@@Juice_VI I have bought it months ago, but this is very kind of you, thank you man!
@@palfottahow is it so far for gaming out of the box?
techne please review the redragon h510 zeus x and h520
Hi I rarely comment on videos but I am currently in the market for a new gaming headset I have my eye on the hyperx cloud alpha s which came out a couple years back and the new hyperx cloud 3 I haven’t been able to find a video comparing these two and I was wondering if it wasn’t to much to ask if you could possibly do a video it would be greatly appreciated
Just to add on to my comment i saw an old video where you compared the hyperx cloud alpha s to the hyperx cloud 2 so I was wondering how the hyperx alpha cloud s would compare to the new hyperx cloud 3
I'm torn between the Hyperx Cloud 3 Wireless or the Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless.
Help!
SAME
Can I use it on Xbox
i completely forgot to charge my headset bc the cable is kinda short but it lasted about 5 days
Once I bought an Alienware wireless headset for about the same price... comfortable, nice looking, the 7.1 sound of it was incredibly clean and nice, the software was fine (at first)... I was happy... until Dell realized that they went a bit over, so they ruined the product line with updates... such a shame... thank god my headset was still under warranty so I swapped it.
Now I'm using a wired cloud alpha and I'm okay with it. Once I can buy a wifi headset that can actually deliver, I'll definitely get it, but this is not that level.
Thx for the review.
I always admire ur honesty
the volume wheel will stop working after a few months
I just canceled my razer blackshark 2 pro order cause i read everywhere it has a static noise which my last two turtle beach stealth gens (500 and 600) also had the same issue. I ordered this one instead now and hope it wont dissapoint or is atleast an upgrade to my old 3-4year 80$ headset . I just want clear good gamesound with clear footsteps and immersive 3d surround sound. Im sad i cant experience the good mic of the razer but i really dont wanna deal with the beep again. Cool vid
They use custom equalizers which make all your audio go trough a filter.
The flat, telephone like sound makes me think you didnt switch to 32k in windows for the Mic. Did you? If so, i cant explain that sound. 2 of my buddies bought it and in Teamspeak and Discord, they sound much fuller and more real.
If I change the sound profile of the mic to 32k, will it stay on for playstation, or is it only on PC?
They still don’t have a gun metal version 😢
Honestly if i didnt have the Cloud 2 wireless wich i love and find perfect for me i would buy them
Got in Xmas sale direct from HP for £119 think that's fair. Comfort and battery life is important to me as well as the sound. I can't stand having to charge every few hours, thus making my wireless headset a wired one 😅😅
i think ill wait till the price drops my hyperx cloud stinger core wireless can hold out that much longer
do you think it's a good upgrade over the og cloud 2?
Not bad for a wireless option if you really like the cloud 2’s
Is the sound quality and upgrade from the Cloud 2 wireless?
Yes it is
I just tried this today and the lack of swivel is a deal breaker as it pits too much uneven pressure to the front of my ears.
I recently bought the cloud 2 wireless for $108 on Amazon, no complaints.
Got them for 78, nice
i have plan to bought cloud 2 wireless and clound 3 wireless which should i buy ?
Cloud Alpha Wireless
This headset feels so good around the ears, especially for people with big ears like me. Feels very light and sound is great. The only things I do not like about this headset is it takes 5-10 seconds of holding the power button to turn it on and off, and once it is on there is no LED indicator to let you know it is on. But besides that this is a 9/10 headset at it's price point.
I am waiting for the HyperX Cloud Alpha V2. I hope they make a newer version of it.
How about Alpha S? Isn't that basically V2. It's wired, though.
is the new razer headset better? the razer blackshark v2 2023
Yes much
I want those. They look good, but let's see how they sound. The original ones suck, I have them
great vid as always keep killing it Summit 1G's dad !
lol, we are almost the same age
thanks for the video
It is kinda say that they still havent included bluetooth as separate connection option.
bluetooth has delay
@@flowsy5294 yeah but you could still use it with phone or tv as alternative
Has the software improved or is it as lousy as it used to be?
the software is trash still
Currently $120 on Amazon. Is it worth it for that? I feel like it might be the best Wireless headset in this price range now....
do you think i should get the cloud 2 wireless for 150 $ or the cloud 3 wireless for 160 $ ?
I have at home right now, all wireless headset: cloud 2, alpha, cloud 3 and g pro x 2. The cloud 3 is my top pic for sound quality and by far! There is a little less bass but the sound clarity and the details you get is amazing.

@@fido2332is it good as default for fps Games and footsteps?
Agree with the review. No BT and optional wire is a dealbreaker. But if it's 130-140, might be worth it
would have been perfect at that price!
its on sale for that price rn!
@@TheTechne
Just bought it today for 130, we shall see how it is
What happened to red colors😁
One thing I hate about how fast technology moves is the fact that companies feel the need to keep moving forward and pushing new products. They could easily keep producing and selling cloud 2s and never have to change anything to compete. I owned the wired cloud 2s and wireless and they are by far my favorite headsets ive ever used... and when I say that I really mean it. I returned my steel series arctis pros for these because they are just that perfect. Im only watching this now because I let CS2 get the best of me and gave them a lil too much of a love tap and now my left ear feels neglected lmao.
Same as you. Returned Steel series arctis nova pro because the sound was so flat. It sounded like plastic cans.
What would you recommend if someone was looking for something lighter and much more comfortable compared to the Maxwell. Sidetone is high on thr requirement list but not a deal breaker if missing.
Give me a week 😉
@@TheTechneyou tease
Turtle beach pro
These that he just reviewed are exactly what you want. Half the cost, way more comfortable and light, sidetone is great on it, and it doesn't have all the extra features that add weight and cost like anc/bt, so if that's what you're looking for, it's perfect for that.
Hi I'm sorry but it don't get better than the audeze Maxwell there very very very comfortable I wear mine 8 to 6 hours every day. There More like audio files headphones go with the JBL 910p for PS5 or these hyper x cloud 3 I just ordered nine simple to use plug and play stay safe and happy gaming to all
I'm thinking of getting a pair
I got mine for sale for 65$ a big difference when playing siege the lag is basically non existent for the 2.4ghz
