Jessie J is without true rivals or peers. I believe that the vowel purity is what sets her performance apart from all others. There is no strain - no push. Why? Pure vowels. Her storytelling is also without rivals. The reaction that people have comes from - I believe - Jessie J’s authentic and intention filled attention to the text.

She has a mastery of technique, power and absurd range and singing delicacy. that many professionals dream of, she makes very easy what other professional singers push with effort, she does everything with ease, some passages are super difficult, but she does them in a natural way, she deserves much more for the singer that she is

This single performance has changed the minds, the default assumptions about Jessie J, from every single person I know who's seen it. Someone else probably said it here, but the flip side of this performance was Jessie having long-term cardiac (aka heart) related health issues that flared up the week before this. This literally was an ode to her own struggle, and her reaction to fan love bolstering her. You can even hear some shortness of breath here directly tied to her health, but she masterfully incorporates it. And watch the end again. That's literally her hand shaking. Mind (and training) over matter got her through that. This was the most emotionally devastating thing she did on this show, but virtually every performance is near this level. I Have Nothing and Purple Rain are probably the other two to definitely see.

When you listen to the A cappella portions of this performance at the very end of the song you are truly experiencing the genius of Angelina Jordan’s PERFECT PITCH. Sinatra, rest in peace Angelina Jordan, the Bare Foot Queen has taken the crown and there is nothing like her in the universe. When I first heard her perform this I put it on pause and brought up Sinatra, Bublé, Streisand, Fitzgerald and Vaughan's version of this song to compare it to AJ version, and none of them moved me like this version. It is so hard to comprehend that Angelina from 7 to 16 is the greatest story telling being in my 74 years of experiencing great vocalist and I can't wait for the rest of the story.

Jessie has a purer voice than Celine. Her tone is virtually incomparable and her timing is Sinatra-esque. In my opinion, she's a female singer with only one equal - the great Streisand.

She's a great singer, extremely underrated. Tip though, you ought to react to Tommy Johansson (lead guitarist of Sabaton) to his rendition of "You raise me up".
