Really good video! Im looking at one so I can do roadtrips. I just love how much space the car has. It will allow me to build a bed type of situation with storage under it.

I don’t think there’s that much vertical space in this. Bed, yes. Bed + storage would be tight.

Woah! I am at the point of cross shopping between V90 and A6 all road and you covered great stuff for V90 I never heard from the others. Thanks and keep up the good work! Your review somewhat pushed me leaning towards V90 😅

This is an estate for the lucky family of two or three kids and labrador in back. Full length Volvo roof box and off you go on a great comfortable family driving holiday.

It works for me, my wife, and our Labrador…without the need for a roof rack.

The V90 Cross Country is a great used car value due to the depreciation in the first 2 years. Hopefully Volvo going completely EV will address the reliability issues as of late.

sure wish that Volvo would bring this out with their T8 PHEV drivetrain... I would buy it that way, and maybe in future as a BEV (lifted wagon = Cross Country only). I won't buy another other Volvo but a Cross Country wagon with a plug (context: buyer of four new Volvos in the past, three of them wagons).

Pretty sure there is a sportier mode.. you have to slide the screen to the right.. select driving mode and then Dynamic

@@BrianMakse I was just getting ready to trade up from a V60CC which I love to one of these almost exactly as you have it specced. This omission certainly gives me pause because I change the modes quite frequently for different driving scenarios.. often just to tackle some twisty sections. Stinks to hear this and complicates my decision. Really wish they would either offer the B6 in the V60CC or the T8 in the V90CC. Bummer..

@@ehdyn easy solution, just add the Polestar optimisation at the dealer if it's not equipped with the drive mode function. It acts like a switchable sport mode with likely a touch more power.

Why do all these reviewers talk about "sport" all the time? Body lean due to soft suspension, and 0-60 only 6.5 sec.
Clearly this is not a sports car and i want it to be even softer/lean more for even more comfort. And 0-60 in 6.5 sec? Why would you need more in this big wagon, why? If anyone wants a sports car they would buy one instead for the money? And not buy a cross country??

"These reviewers" is an accomplished racing driver and, thus, this channel is focused on driving dynamics rather than dash stroking.

This is a wonderful car! But the infotainment system is a big disaster. Especially the instrument cluster. No customization, just one '90s-style "graphical" mode, and if you're not navigating, you'll just see a big, ugly black screen. A Nissan or other manufacturer's infotainment system is much better than this horror. I don't understand why Volvo would degrade this otherwise excellent car with such an outdated and poorly functioning nightmare? It is a disgrace.

    • @BrianMakse

If you want a Nissan’s infotainment system, you have to drive a Nissan.

@@BrianMakse Thanks, but I have a V90 (2023 model year). That's why I wrote. This system is just wrong. Wired only Car Play in 2024 is a joke, the driving modes and physical button have been eliminated, the instrument cluster is a big dark void, you can't customize anything, you can't off the start/stop system and I could list endlessly. Get in a random 2024 premium car and you'll fly 10 years into the future compared to this. The car is physically amazing, which is why I'm disappointed with the terrible info system.
