    What tripod did you use with this? Does it extend to at least 6 feet?

    • @innoiso
      @innoiso  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using a Manfrotto Tripod that I use with my digital camera, and its max height is closer to 5 feet

    How did you connect this to your laptop/PC? The camera does not have USB connection I guess.

    • @innoiso
      @innoiso  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's a cable that adapts the cable from the camera to a USB and power cable separately

    Great video, thanks for taking the time to record an honest review. As you mentioned it all depends on your use-case. I'm teaching online health, fitness, exercise classes and hope to get into nutrition coaching with a whiteboard or flipchart stand etc. - having a pan, tilt and zoom option would make teaching these types of classes much easier, as I don't have to run back to forward to adjust the camera depending on whether I stand, sit or are on an exercise mat. Currently I use a Logitech Brio which works already much better than any other Logitech Camera I used before.

    • @innoiso
      @innoiso  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is an excellent use case! While I imagine the Brio works well, I think the PTZ would make it a lot easier. Thank you for watching!

    The Logitech PTZ pro 2 was released about 6 years ago. This is the typical duration a company leases their equipment. For this reason at the moment there seem a lot of "refubrisher" selling this cam on eBay - for about 60-75€.
    This is a tenth of the price at the time of your video.
    However, this sales do not include any accessories like the PSU, the remote control and the USB-cable.
    But you can get a 3th party remote control for about 25 bucks, also if you have access to one remote control you should be able to use a 5 bucks ir learning universal remote control from china.
    The PSU is 12V 300mA. The connector seems a little different from normal, but I am sure an adapter for any old 12V psu shouldn't be a big problem.
    So yesterday I actually ordered 4 Logitech ptz pro 2 and 1 cloned remote control.
    While $699 definitly is quite expensive, a used camera with high quality picture for 50-70€ + some tinkering definitly seem quite a catch.
    Why 4 cameras? Office and 2 Homeoffices. One as spare.
    I might even buy more, as I am into 3d printing and with cheap cameras you can not see failiures like smal layershifts remotely.
    One reason many companys replace their PTZ 2 pro simply is them leasing complete conference room setups. The price of the camera isn't the main point for theese companys. Also, while 4k cameras do not be of use on a single persons office PC as the resolution is reduced by teams, skype or zoom anyway, in a conference room 4k allows aditional digital zoom and features like traking people.
    Still, the "old" high end FullHD cameras might not be 1st choice for a conference room anymore, but they definitly are perfect for personal use. Esp. the better light sensitivity and therefore better picture quality in "normal" office light conditions is definitly a win.
    By the way: There is a holder to attach on top of the monitor on printables. So you can use the PTZ pro 2 like a normal webcam...

    Can it be controlled by software to reach the presets (or make even more than 3 presets)?

    • @innoiso

      Not by the default software. Im not sure if there is any 3rd party software able to do so

    In your honest opinion, how would you rate this camera for a low budget church livestreaming camera? We need a PTZ camera and the options that keep popping up when looking specifically for churches is a $6k. canon ptz that seems to have the same features as this one

    My biggest complaint about the logitech c series web cams is that my exposure is always off, and not easiliy adjustable. With my personal laptop at home, mac os, is this ptz easily adjustable with this?

    haha....you couldn't contain your laughter in the entire video as you said its an overkill....what would you recommend for a small room 10 feet by 10 feet with 2 or 3 people sitting in it
    1) The PTZ pro 2
    OR
    2) Logitech Brio?

    • @innoiso
      @innoiso  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless you specifically plan on planning and zooming between participants, the Brio is probably the better option. Especially because a 2x digital zoom will still be 1080p which is higher than video calling services use

    • @masterchef6694
      @masterchef6694 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@innoiso thanks a lot. I think the brio will be a better buy. We won't be zooming in or out very often once we find an correct spot.

      Quite a nice setup. I even used my private PC with OBS and connected the second monitor out as "webcam" to my office notebook using an hdmi grabber. This way I could use "greenscreening", switching between cameras etc. without installing additional software on the office pc.
