I do not think this kind of big change from cute concept to girl crush concept is an obligation because (especially for Weeekly) they had an aura, a special feeling in each of their song, so it's kind of annoying to see talented groups giving up concept that worked perfectly…
But still, this new concept can be interesting!

@@deeveena2485 some of toxic orbits have been slandering Weeekly when they revealed the teasers about their lore (their representatives planets). They said it’s copied from Loona and Loonafication. You can also find this kind of comments on the Prologue Film.
@@Mbotorola I actually do kind of see how they would see that, but I would challenge that no group can completely own one concept and it could be argued that many girl crush concepts are similar. There are other groups that have played with the space/planet concept (Kep1er, Tri.be) in some way in their music or videos. I personally don't mind it. I think all groups have to move from their original concepts at some point. Some do and some don't, but I'm not bothered by the similarities. Toxic orbits and toxic fandoms in general will always find a way to tear groups down in order to help the group they stan. At least that is what they believe they are doing, but it's divisive in my opinion and serves no other purpose but to create noise and drama.

Now it has sub and i'm fully understand their decision. Talking as daileee i do understand that some of us might be in shock about this drastic change, but that's why this documentary exist. They kept their high teen concept for past 2 years with 20+ songs in the process, and they do achieve so many amazing things with it, so the high teen concept that bubbly and lighthearted are indeed a "home" for us.
Now, it's crucial to show something new, because they have enough public attention through After School and those concept, but producing another "After School" isn't easy, it's a burden for artist to recreate their masterpiece. By producing new genre and concept, the members can grow and show more side of them, and they probably could grab public attention again to experience something new by weeekly. I'm hoping for 1st win in this comeback.
Weeekly is so versatile, every member has their own charisma and genre, take monday as an example, by watching monday performance on double trouble we could see that weeekly are more than ready to try something new. Also, i feel like Weeekly performing cover is never fail / awkward, because they always integrated their own color. Means that they can slay every concept, and still has their own color.
Our leader has said that in the end everything is gonna work out for them. Also IST has shown *amazing* effort in supporting them. So let's keep support them, and i'm hoping that every once in a while it would be nice to release some b-side song that has our "home" feel, the bubbly and lighthearted weeekly.

The thing unique about Weeekly's lore is there is no definite timeline and its on the daileees to solve it. Changing the concept is a good start for unlocking more in the story and increasing the difficulty level of the puzzle. It's not the only reason of course, just like the producer and music critic said: they will be no teenagers forever and there should be a change. It will be dumb for sure to argue with music professionals when your just a fan. Some might reason that its not a gradual change but let me ask you. Have you listened to all of their title tracks? Do you listen to the b-sides too? The last 2 songs in the 4th mini album consist of two songs that are not even close to khigh-teen concept, take La luna for example: which is a hyperpop music. So it will be no mystery if their new music is stronger. Lastly the the girls had been waiting for this kind of concept since pre-debut. Yet you will be amazed how they manage to pull off a bubbly concept . Also, please don't talk like this will be their concept forever, Weeekly showed their versatility many times already so why don't you trust them? Concept, it was said it was close to girl crush but not the "girl crush itself"- or only close. You don't have to assume so soon about it, the girls will reveal their concept themselves. Even if its girl crush you don't have to downgrade a group because of that.
La luna is an underrated bop and more people need to listen to it!

Concept change is something that so normal in this industry and Weeekly showed a great example of it, everything is so well-prepared and well-produced. The changing concept doesn't make the quality of their music downgrading even a bit, rather they giving us more variety in their discography and proving their versatility. Weeekly fighting let's make it big this time !!

I know they're nervous for the change, but I can really support this change. I have never ever hated Weeekly; they are beautiful, talented and very hardworking, but I have to admit, their prior music has not been my style. I genuinely have never fully enjoyed one of their songs. I enjoy watching them because of their talents and stage presence, but the songs alone are not for me. Personally, I enjoy this new concept. I live for mature and sophisticated concepts, which is what they're bringing this comeback. From the concept photos, the teasers and the highlight medley... I'm just blown away. This is what I look for in a girl group and what I LOVE. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions about the music they release and this is mine. I am extremely excited for the comeback and I cannot wait to see what Weeekly has in store for us. Also want to say that I'm not expecting this type of comeback from now on, they're of course able to still do the fresh and cutesy concepts. I hope they feel reassured with the concept changed and don't feel like now that they've changed, they can never go back. They have a wide variety of talent and are absolutely capable of anything under the sun! Fighting Weeekly!!!!

They are so talented. Really can pull off any concept. They worked hard for this comeback to give us the best comeback to us but still there are some Daileees didn't appreciate they change to this concept. I hope that with this documentary film can change your mind.

내 생일날 데뷔한다 해서 어떤그룹인가
하고 슬쩍본게 벌써 3년을 향해 달려가네
그 기간동안의 스쿨룩 컨셉도 위클리의
아이덴티티이긴 하지만 전문가분 이야기
처럼 언제까지나 같은 컨셉으로만 고수
한다면 결국 정체되고 고이기 마련
선배그룹인 에이핑크도 LUV를 기점으로
다양한 변화가 이뤄진 만큼
그동안의 쌓아올린 이미지가 무너질까 걱정도 많이 되지만 한편으론 변화된 위클리의
모습이 기대가 되는것도 사실.

대한 걱정은 없고 그저 지금처럼 아무

i said that the change was a bit too sudden and honestly i still stand by it even after watching this BUT i'm really glad that they made this documentary so that we can see each member's thoughts and insights on this new chapter in their career.and i like how they let the girls have their inputs and opinions on the styling, etc. i also appreciate how they also included the people behind the scenes as well as critics, journalists, the definitely need more appreciation ❤ but most of all i like how the documentary was able to show their thought process and how they prepared for this comeback because again, a lot of people including myself were taken aback by the change. watching this made me more excited for the comeback! the documentary itself was also well made (at least for me) so that's a plus
they've done various concepts through their covers and all, so i'm not all to worried on whether they can pull this off or not. i sincerely hope for more success for them because they truly deserve it 🥺 kudos to ist and their team. please keep this up!!!

Change is good and I definitely agree that they are at the point in their career to make this transition.
It feels like their concept was always leading to this point as mentioned in this documentary, there was so many hints in their past MV’s such a portals, fragmented memories, planets, weeekly story’s.
It now all makes sense as they remember they are gods of planets and doesn’t feel like such a radical change as they are now awakened to their true identities.
I didn't recognize them at first, from cute to strong concept. I'm so excited..Fighting Weekly!!!

It's a big gamble to chance the concept of a girl group from the total opposite and I don't know how it will be received. It's good though to see that the label is willing to risk it. I'll support them of course but I don't know what to expect ! A smooth transition would have been better but if they really need that change, let's go !
