It gets slept on heavily since GTA is so popular, but I think Sleeping Dogs can really stand on its own two feet as an open world gang story set in China, having its own flavor that sets it apart from GTA. The combat is so fluid and the gunplay isnt bad, but its very clearly not the forefront of the gameplay. I really hope this is an LP Berlin finishes, because the story is simply phenomenal
