I love that they used their fame and influence to stand up against bullying and make things better,not only for themselves but also for their fellow soldiers. That is what they have done till now through their music. Stood up against criticism,bullying,ill treatment,taboo topics within their society. I didnt expect anything else from them. Well done boys!
I hate to say nothing is going to change. There are other idols that this has happened to and they never made any changes. G-Dragon was one of them and his was probably worse. They would steal his underwear, try to get to the showers when he was bathing so they could sneak a peak, steal his medical records and even the soldiers would draw his body parts and send the drawings to their girlfriends….he brought out the issue but nothing changed…this happened before BTS went in so things should have changed but it didn’t.

Being a part of international BTS army, we have limited impact on how South Korea Military dictates what happens in house, it is mostly up to koreans themselves to do that. HOWEVER what outsiders also see is a two fold problem, all military will have some kind of bullying or punishment abit over the top by some poer hungry person ranked above them. That is human nature, the part that would however outrage international army is that it is a culture where you respect your elder, do not speak back and do what you are told. JK went through this when he was very early BTS over the hamburger incident, but now it would be the same. Those in the military some would be senor in rank to be obeyed and others would be senior in age to be obeyed. Just because JK has tatoos and released some amazingly confident music mivdeos does not mean he is not extremely quiet and timid when it comes to his seniors. He was extremely well trained. So the bulllying has more of an impact on international armys who are strongly aware of korean culture.

I understand that because of the hierarchy that subordinates are supposed to listen and obey their commanding officers and seniors.. But there has to be a line drawn what is appropriate and what is not appropriate ordering someone to do tasks that are not part of their assignment. Or verbal and physical abuse is not part of being in the military now I understand the verbal abuse sometimes can be a common Way that senior officers tried to control the subordinate soldiers that they have in their barracks,but physical abuse is another thing! And since we do not know exactly what transpired during the time period that Jungkook was being bullied. We do not know what type of bullying it is? And HYBE labels or BIGHIT entertainment did not specify any bullying that was going on. they did not report this on WeVerse! How does a story like this get leaked into the social media as well as other TH-cam channels who have been mentioning the bullying situation even some of these TH-cam channels have been going to the point where they were saying that Jungkook ended up in the hospital that he was bleeding, etc.? No, I don’t know what to believe and don’t give me this BS , Because I’m an international A.R.M.Y I don’t understand ! The line has been crossed and obviously repercussions are going to be taking place that means his senior officer who was doing the bullying is gonna get reprimanded and possibly there is going to be a trial? That if Park Jimin A fellow soldier, and in the same barracks because they enlisted together what they call the “buddy system“ had to go and speak in front of the South Korean military committee. This goes to show that it was a serious situation. And don’t give me this crap that he is a celebrity and he has tattoos and his musical song choice of lyrics are tough guy kind of persona! That does not matter the fact that matters is that he was bullied, possibly physically abused in someway if he endured it for so many months and something else must have caused him to break and come forward and tell on his senior officer! Don’t give me this international garbage that we don’t understand how things work in South Korea, especially in the military ! no human being, I don’t care what country you’re coming from deserves to be bullied, abused in any way if it was a regular common every day South Korean soldier I would go up to bat for that person too. This is a situation which can understandably infuriate international BTS Army, however it may not be as clear and straight forward in Korea. They have army then they have celebrities in the army. There is the issue of favouritism, celebrities getting off lightly doing their duty. Then you have the bullying. There is also a point where making or singling out an individual to make a stance - which yes can bring about change, it can also cause backlash about how all the changes are happening because of this person, what about someone else or someone they care about, what about someone who has already left and went throught that. So many variables may never be fixed in this situation. My point it no matter how international army may look at this and be outraged by it, I am not in korea so the answer to solving it may not be as simple as some may like.
