We in Germany normally have two comforters in a bed shared by two persons. No struggle, no fights, not in summer, not in winter.

As always, Cambriea, I love your videos. Have you ever watched Simply Yesenia or Midwest Magic Cleaning. I know that Midwest Magic talks about your videos all the time. As I said before, you have been my motivation for so long as well as the First TH-cam channel I watched. I just wanted to say thanks your videos are always great and it’s so nice to watch your Family grow.

Raising children is not a competition. Every step has to be customized and adjusted for each child at the proper time. Of course I learned that after feeling intimidated and shamed by other moms😅❤

Hi I’ve just watched your latest video and I can’t believe I have just watched you make what I know as Yorkshire Puddings you call them popovers,l was born in East Yorkshire which is a county in the uk, I just can’t believe that you made what is a traditional food for us Yorkshire folk,we typically have them with roast beef, mashed and roasted potatoes, sprouts, carrots, cauliflower and onion gravy yum 😋

    • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson ปีที่แล้ว +1

I've made them my whole life and call them popovers when we use them as a breakfast/brunch food or accompaniment to soups and stews. But they're suddenly called Yorkshire puddings when I serve them with roasted meats. It never struck me as odd until now. So I guess mine are Anglo-American Yorkshire popovers! 😂

I am thinking of making noodles for my son and his family. I will make them the same as my husband liked them. Smooches to you and yours.

And we have an old English family cook book from my great grandmother and we make them popovers but we called then Yorkshire puddings.

Put one of those potty chair seats in your vehicle for the trip..... That's what I had to do with my daughter when I was potty training and had to go on a long drive.....I put a potty seat, and a spray bottle of awesome, and some paper towels, and wipes..... It only works if you drive a van or SUV though......I learned it from a single dad with 5 girls.....lol he did it bc there wasn't always a family bathroom available!!! Just an idea!!

I was working full time and my sitter had about 2-3 kids potty training at one time. As frustration of never having enough time at home, if an accident happened, I would put my son in a diaper. He had an accident at the sitters and she told him that if he kept doing that, he would have to wear a diaper. HIS exact words, "home do". He ratted me out to the sitter!!!!

I have 6 children I had them all potty trained by their second birthday. We homeschool so we school year round. Summers are so miserable in Texas so we don't go out much in summer. Most of our fun activities take place in the winter months. It's also nice because it's off season less crowded for the things we want to do.

My kiddo was nearing 4 when she was potty-trained, a WEEK before Head Start and it had to be HER decision, though I had started when she was 2. Such a stubborn kid, but man, oh, man! She's a great teenager (16)with a heart of gold! (I, meanwhile, was potty-trained by a year and a half.)

I have a huge king size bed and maybe I just got lucky lol. My king comforter covers top/bottom and sides so I don't know that I did anything special on ordering, however if you're having an issue, consider ordering a *California* *King* comforter in the future. I've heard people say they are slightly bigger than your standard King.

You are so right about waiting for your children being ready. I did the same thing and my mom fussed at me constantly. You need to remember 35 years ago. I was not going to punish my children for something they didn't even understand. During that time I was told I was before the age of 2 with acknowledging I was spanked for accidents, even a night. All of my 3 were different my first was a girl and she was around 3 when it finally stuck with her. The second also a girl was over 3. My son was the last and he was almost 4. I know that's probably late but I didn't care. I waited until they showed signs. With that being said, my son that was almost 4 was completely potty trained in 3 weeks. My girls started earlier and my first didn't take that long but my middle took months. We would take breaks and that helped her I think not to be stressed about it. I have to say during those times of training, my children were never left with my mom lol

The comforter thing is a real struggle with a king size bed....mine comes down to a decent length all the way around when it's made, but when hubby and I get on bed (we are both plus size folks), there isn't enough comforter to cover our sides without getting in middle of bed. Thinking of getting a California king

I had the same issue with king size comforters. I finally got on Amazon and did a search for extra wide king comforters and they do have a pretty nice selection of them. Mine covers both sides of my bed almost completely. I don't remember the specific size but if you compare a regular king comforter size on Amazon to the extra wide you will see the difference.

I will often take our small rugs that get full of winter slush gunk to the car wash, just hang it up like you do car floor mats and power wash and let drip while you clean the car. Just make sure to bring a plastic tub to put them in as they will obviously still be a little drippy for the drive home.

My kids are grown now. When they were potty trained my older son (I have 2 boys & a girl like you do) had no problem during the day because he didn’t like being wet, so he was trained by 2. My 2nd son was a handful with everything. He was almost 3 & his incentive was to go to preschool when he turned 3! My daughter was completely relaxed compared to my sons, however she had a very small bladder. She had issues at night until she was 11. My oldest son had the small bladder issue also & nighttime issues until he was 6. They had diagnosed medical issues that some kids never find out about because parents don’t bother to mention it to their doctors. It’s actually a fairly common problem & most kids outgrow it. My daughter still has a small bladder even as a young adult.

Do you have a CAL KING or a regular KING? Cal King is a different size than a regular King. It's difficult to find Cal King comforters but they do give more coverage for the length and width of the mattress.

Wow on those rugs! You're brave - I'd have talked myself out of it! 😂 The bathroom floor looked beautiful, too! What a satisfying day!
Loved your food. I haven't made noodles in YEARS! They are so good! And chicken and noodles was a huge favorite in my family growing up and then when I had my own family. We served them over mashed potatoes. Sounds weird to anyone I mentioned it to when I moved East, but it was common in the Midwest. Did your family ever eat them that way?
When my daughter was approaching the big milestones of walking and potty training, we were in a state of change. My daughter was on the verge of walking - had been practicing cruising, etc at around 11 months - when her Daddy started a new job out of town and was only home on weekends while we were holding down the fort, selling the house and packing, etc. She just stopped trying and I didn't want to stress her. We moved and got settled and she just got up and walked. Same story with potty training - Daddy got transferred again around her 2nd birthday in June just when I had started talking to her about it. Even bought the fancy, lacy panties as incentive! With all the turmoil, I stopped and figured we'd deal with it later. We moved in October and about 3 weeks later just when I was thinking it was time to get going, she woke up one morning and announced that she didn't want to wear diapers any more and was going to wear big girl panties. I'm so ridiculous that I said "okay" and we pulled out the fancy undies and got dressed. Like an idiot, I even took her shopping! And didn't bring extra clothes, a diaper, etc.!! LOL No problem. She never wore a diaper again and had zero accidents! When she said she was done with diapers, she was right! So I've never had the experience of potty training. Funniest part of the story? She married a man who did exactly the same - as a very young toddler, he simply announced one day he was done with diapers just as she had! How strange is that? And, no, she wasn't quite as lucky with her two, but they were pretty easy. 😂

Search for oversized king! I did. And voila. Fixed it! Not all brands and limited colors but the size is perf!

If you want to take your sink cleaning game to the next level I’d recommend doing what I did last night and taking the S bend off and scrubbing it out (mine was full of sludge and a straw) and then putting it back on the pouring boiling water down to flush out the rest of the pipe! My drain smells so much better now!! There was quite a lot of fat buildup in the drain too which I think was from the previous tenant as I never flush fat down my drains. Anyway it was super satisfying 😌

I have a king size bed as well and I can only shop at one store here in Canada for my bedding that actually has an oversize. I shop at Quilts etc. And have to purchase what they call super king. I have to have overage as it drives me to distraction when my bed doesn’t look and feel right. As well, talking about children, yes they are all different. Speaking as a grandmother now and looking back I should not have tried keeping up with everyone else. I should have enjoyed my children more instead of sweating over things that they weren’t ready for. Oh my, why does wisdom come when we are older. You are a great Mom Cambria and it comes through on your videos.

Maybe you could try a queen bedspread. Bedspreads are designed to go to the floor so maybe a queen would only go to the bottom of the mattress? I don't think a California king would work since they are wider and shorter than a regular king but you could do the math and see if it would work before buying. I would check the measurements of the bedding before buying.

You could throw a potty in the boot of the car and pull over when she needs to go….that’s what we did. We had nappy bags, wipes, toilet paper and a spray bottle of detergent to clean the potty after she used it. We kept the potty in the boot of each car. She either sat in the hatch or on the side of the road 🤣
She was only 13months but would make the noise of “quick, quick” when she needed to use the toilet/potty. So we just rolled with it.

I have the same comforter problem! Drives me batty when I walk in and see the mattress sticking out.

I have a king size bed and we use 2 comforters next to each other, a bit overlapping in the middle of the bed. No pulling on it and you or your husband has almost nothing of comforter. Because I toss and turn a lot at night.

The "popover" is that the same as a Yorkshire pudding? Or a dumpling?
