I too like Gould's recordings of Gibbons, but they are eccentric and provocative as to be expected.
This tuning is very familiar to me because as a guitarist...for whatever reason...in studio session or at home...my instrument the guitar decides to gravitate towards this particular area of vibration, but it is currently unaccepted.
