    Brian, you mention that you cleaned the neutral safety switch in a previous video; which video contains that procedure? Thanks!

    Brian, would this be the same for a 1975 cb500t I might be purchasing one, and the guy told me the stater needs to be changed

      I’d assume the process is similar. II’m sure there are nuances. Get a manual to be sure. Generally speaking, sure?

      Brian, I just watched your video again. Do you have any videos on adjusting carburetor, i just picked up this CB 500T. And I'm blowing a little smoke. I'm hoping that it's just a carburetor adjustment.
      Next month, I'm gonna do that stator Also, looks like an easy job. Thanks for posting it

      I just got a cheap set off Amazon. They aren’t the best quality but do the job. I think it’s one of those things that you get what you pay for. My set of 3 was less than 20 bucks. Will they last a lifetime? Probably not but they are doing the job for now.

    Brian, is this side of the engine supposed to be dry? I'm taking my stator out to polish the case and cover, and there is oil dripping out. Is this a problem, and if so how much of one? Thanks! and thanks for posting all these videos.

      Totally normal. Keep it on the center stand. Go get it.

      @@KeepOnWrenching Hi thanks for responding! So my stator wiring was broken. It looks like the bundle came lose from the top part where it feeds over the crank and got eaten away by the chain. The black brackets that the wires feed through, and sit in, into the stator housing, and up to the battery, were broken and kind of disintegrating. I was hoping to try to solder the stator wires back together and restore the stator, but wasn't sure what I would do about the brackets. I thought maybe some silicon glue? In the end I bought a replacement stator that has all of the necessary parts and is said to be working. Thanks for your videos. They help me a lot.

    Brian,
    Please....attention to detail.....block your gasket surfaces and lock tight your stater bolts....you have it apart...please take the added time

      @KeepOnWrenching 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can easily go add some lock tite there. I was pretty excited at that point. I’ll go back and do those. I did deck the flat set faces I could get to or parts that were not originally together. Didn’t see a good explanation anywhere for doing the obstructed surfaces. Cleaned to the best of my abilities. I feel good about it but if you tips for the future LMK. No going back now! Thanks for the support and feedback.
