Yes, they are the subject matter experts on this episode. We needed to get the student’s perspective. ❤️

The JAMB result is a reflection of the condition of Nigeria education sector and indeed the Nigeria society.

As a teacher myself I am interested in this jamb result and the teachers are not left out this , the quality of teaching is very important and the failure of the government.

Seems there are quite some contributing factors.

I agree with social media. The distraction is too much. These children are with phones and tablets 24hrs every day.

We are in the gadget age, there is only little we can do.

Having this percentage of failure actually involves a lot of reasons. Just to mention a few as below.
    1. Our current economy is a factor. Imagine a student who finds it difficult to have a complete square meal in a day, etcetera.
    2. These days, the quest for our youth to make quick money has driven apart from studying.
    3. Many student prefer to study more about their favourite artist, actors, etcetera instead of studying their books.
    4. Teachers also have a significant role to play. Imagine a teacher who gets low income at the end of the day without any welfare package. You don't expect to give their best.
    5. The economy of the day won't allow most parent to pay attention to their children education. After they have managed to pay their children school fees, they will be looking for ways to provide feeding for the house. Etcetera.
    We hope things change soonest.

I've written the JAMB exam once before and I passed well, though this is not the case for many other candidates, due to several reasons, I agree with what was said in the video, there are a lot of factors influencing the outcome of your results as a Nigerian student after writing this exam, some even beyond what you can personally control, but personally I believe if you set your mind towards the goal of clearing the exam once and do everything necessary in your power, prayer included, it is more than possible to pass in one sitting

I would say exposure is a major challenge for both teachers and students
Ask a known question in a different way and a lot of persons would be lost beacuse they don’t know much to consider different applications

What a rather unfortunate situation …
It’s easy to put the blame on the averagely aged 9 - 12 year olds… each person, young or old should take responsibility for whatever outcome … I blame the parents and the teachers… who have the responsibility of
    1. ensuring their children learn to be studious early,
    2. Ensuring the children have the right attitude towards solving problems and not coping and pasting at every slight opportunity
    3. Ensuring the children use AI and tech to their advantage and not to their destruction
My son must have passed jamb under my nose multiple times before I push him out to pass jamb… my parents ensured this. …….
Teaching is tough and parenting is tougher.
I hear many parents say “hmmm he’s not serious I have been talking to him or her….”
You have from the ages of 0 - 16 to instill positive attitudes into the children….
The children can’t give what they don’t have 🤷‍♀️

Content creation in Nigeria 🇳🇬 is due to lack of Job opportunities! If there are steady electricity ⚡️ good jobs good road good everything, comedians will reduce even in Government!!

My dear. You will be an Ophthalmologist if you want to be an eye doctor 🧑‍⚕️. Not an optometrist! Those are just eye 👁️ examiners like lab 🧪 technicians of the eye 👁️! U get the point now ?
