6:24 I actually wish more tutorials did this. A: Use good ole "Cut'N'Try Engineering" on the fly. B: I know you _accidentally_ did it wrong, but doing something like that _deliberately_ in a tutorial (and pretending it was accidental!) and then recovering from the mistake (on the fly), and then resuming from where you left off is an even better tutorial than one that's been practiced to a sharp edge and everything goes _exactly_ the way it should. Because tutorials are for people who are going to make the obvious mistakes when they encounter something that's not intuitive (like the menu here...)
I have the GP-100 and am hoping to import some IRs from other users? I thin you can do that as I find many of the overdriven sounds much too fizzy for my taste, but thanks for showing us!
I'm new to all of this too and just seen this video explain IRs that's super helpful. Hope it helps you out!🤘🏿th-cam.com/video/CDRkFTEa0Ps/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TreyXavier
Hello !! Am I right in thinking you can just delete all the patches in the user list and replace them with your own leaving only the Factory ones on the device? Thanks for the video it's helped loads!!
An IR stands for Impulse Response. A digital snapshot of what a speaker does to the sound. Most of the amps and pedals can be modelled but 'digital' recreation of speakers work on these. Cab emulations in software, vst's and most all digital multieffects work using IR's. So in the case of the Valeton for example you have IR's included but you can upload more and use them. This is so that you can have a speaker emulation of a cab that you like beyond the ones included. This is the simple answer, here is a link to a more technical explanation of IR's: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impulse_response
I am disappointed that the GP200 does not have enough slots for user IR's, They should do an update to have at least twice as many slots as currently available.
@@nickbackslash No, after the latest update, you can put the effect send anywhere in the chain and the return anywhere else except before the send. You can also run parallel or series and control volume of send and return.
Thanks mate. Everything was very helpful ❤
Excellent videos for this unit, keep them coming the valeton gp-200 has a lot of potential to be a killer multi fx unit at a low price point.
Killer sounds from the little Valeton, first time I've seen the interface, it looks to be very user friendly.

I am new to all of this. Can you recommend a video if I don't know what patches and Ir's are? Arrr. I sound like a pirate

Please, how manu IRs comes with GP200 ? Are the CAB sim on it types of IR? Or it comes just 20 "slots" for the user puts his own IR. Tks
Can someone explain what IR is? I understand the concept of patches, but I don't understand IR. Thanks!

Can I download the patch and sent it to my nephew?
@timlo2337 Hi, sure. I am not precious about these and the price is more a donation than anything else.
After patches imoprted successfully there is no sound at all ??hw to fix it ??
Check that the expression pedal is not assigned to volume, if so it needs to be depressed or assignment removed. Also check it has an IR assigned.
have you resolved the issue? I had the same problem, when I upload the IR I have no sound.

20 isn't enough? You can over right any of the other slots as well so how many do you want? Maybe learn how to use the unit properly first.
My software crashes when I try to download the patches.
Can you save patches to your pc?
is there a way to use stereo impulses?
Sadly no. But you could switch impulse responses off and use two IR pedals / units after the Valeton
Does the V gp200 have a send/return block like the POD GO
It does have an fx loop
@@KrachWerke but it's in a fixed location - after the cabs. No?

@@MisterQueue67 yes! I bought a new GP200 when this update was announced. It is a significant improvement - in all areas - over the Pod Go.
Doze any one on TH-cam now how to use this thing other than this person.
Name of app sirv
I have downloded app but it doesnot work.

Valeton really screwed up the IR management in their software. Horrible.
