Terry you awesome today thanks for helping.🙏😀.
You’re welcome! I’m glad we could help and you guys got out safely! The snow got much deeper beyond where you guys got stuck. We went aways further and then turned back. I’ll have a video out later next week.
Awesome video, cooking & baking in front of ocean! 😍👍🏼 am gonna do that one day!
Only thing I would change is swap the stove to a white gas coleman, looks like a great time!!!
Thanks to your video, I bought one of these for our house woodstove. So far, so good!
@@tcsadventures The pizza stone is a great idea. I'm getting one of those, too. ;-)
Yeah I think it really helps with evenly distributing the heat. In our camping videos we cooked just about everything you can think of in that oven.
Awesome food and views! We're debating on whether to get the Coleman Oven, and I think it'll be worth it. Thanks for sharing!
It is designed to best use with the burner on the right on your Coleman camp stove. Those steaks
look so delicious, and the biscuits are perfect!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! Episode 2 shows how my wife makes those biscuits.
We call them scones here in the uk. As for the oven i am making a wrap around cover , well 3 sides and the top out of a welding blanket so as to hold more heat in
Dialed in nice more butter in with the steak lol great vid thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! All my camping videos have some camp cooking too - you might like. Thanks for commenting!
Hey man I want to say thank you for earlier
Btw I was the kid who was wearing the red jacket
Agree with not being level when you got to the oil, but the "oven" should be a square/whether level or not. Think it just needed one tab put in, but probably not easy on an non-leveled surface. I don't eat meat (minus fish...oh wait...but definitely love the video. Why would you not get this? And thank you for the pizza stone link!!! ....And it's not a cheap beer in video, name pronounced right for the filet...good video. This is probably more helpful to everyone using ovens all the time for those Veganish' things.
Do you eat blueberry cobbler lol?! Check out episode 72 in Sequoia. Got to say the cobbler was really good. Thanks for watching!
I don’t know why but they suggest using oven on right side of stove.
The Coleman Oven seemed to be a nice choice. QUESTION PLEASE: Do you feel that it was a positive or negative leaving the Pizza Stone inside when cooking the other items? Did it make the oven cook hotter or less hot? I'm thinking of buying one.
I think that the stone helps the oven retain heat, but the reason I use it is to have the heat more evenly distributed. I would say the stone is a big plus. We’ve used the oven a lot and for the money I believe the oven was a good buy. My only complaint is that it’s pretty flimsy and folding it up and getting the catches to fold in right (without bending) is one downside of the oven. Thanks for your question and I hope this helps.
@@tcsadventures Thank you for your very informative reply. All of your pointers are really helpful to know about. Yes, I do think I'll be buying one ... and 😉😊 a Pizza Stone to use inside of it.
Agree with your wife. That area not only is eroding, but also seriously threatening those camping site asset. Let the proper authorities know!
thank you for the video, I just got the oven. What size cast iron skillet fits in the oven? thank you
It’s a 8” skillet. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/Lodge-Skillet/dp/B075DDZ3RC Thanks for watching!
Do you show how your table is attached in another video? Thanks for sharing
Yes, I install it in episode 47. We get a lot of use out of it. Probably my favorite addition to the Jeep.
Where did you find that pizza stone? It fits perfectly. TY!
lol I’m away right now, but when I get home I’ll check. It was hard to find... it’s 10 X 10. Thanks for watching! I’ll be putting out a video this week where I cook a blueberry cobbler in that oven!
It’s a Gyber pizza stone 10.8 x 10.8. FYI: my latest video of camping in Sequoia has me cooking a blueberry cobbler in the oven.
gyberoutdoors.com/products/pizza-stone-11-inch
@@tcsadventures the pizza stone link says it's 12"x12", is it actually 10.8"x10.8"? thank you for the skillet information.
I just checked the Amazon link that I pasted in a previous question - that link is no longer correct. I went to Gyber’s site and this is the link to the one I bought. They call it a 11” stone but if you look at the box it says 10.8 X 10.8. I’ll edit and get rid of the Amazon link. Gyber link: gyberoutdoors.com/products/pizza-stone-11-inch
Just bought that Gyber Outdoors pizza stone based on your suggestion. Going camping later this month and I will test it out! Hoping it keeps the cinnamon buns from burning on the bottom.
Dude broke a cardinal rule of camping, no drinking before camp is set up…
Lol I’m not familiar with that rule. I think we break that with regularity! It works for us… Thanks for watching!
What kind of tent is that?? Looked so easy to set up! Where can I find that? TIA
It’s an Oztent - Australian company. Currently not available on Amazon, but you can buy directly from Oztent (link: oztent.com/collections/tents). In episode 43 I talk about the tent and my other camping gear. Thanks for watching!
Love your Coleman gear. I just bought one of those ovens off eBay. Your Wife has beautiful eyes. Is she Korean?
Thanks! We were really impressed with how well it cooked the blueberry cobbler. Just wish the hinges were more robust. She’s Mexican and Japanese. She’ll get a kick out of your compliment lol. She’s a great sport about these adventures. Tomorrow we’re going off roading with a Jeep club with only women driving and the guys as passengers. I’ll post that video in a few days. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Those were thick steaks it would have been nice the see how the insides turned out.
Other than that, how did you like the video lol? I think they were medium to medium rare. I like to cook them in the oven to get the center done. The Coleman oven does a pretty good job.
I’ve heard this camp site is always difficult to get spots
She made the reservations a couple of months in advance and the better spots were already taken.
How accurate is your thermometer? Mine reads 250 when it's at 350.
I’ve never tried to confirm the accuracy with another thermometer. I would guess it isn’t too far off because when I cook cookies, croissants, etc at 350 - I would think they would burn if it was actually 450. But I keep a pretty close eye on everything I cook in there. I often put a casserole dish on the rack and then put my sheet pan on top of the dish - to put more separation between the flame and the food to avoid burning the bottom. Thanks for watching !
@@tcsadventures You're one of the lucky ones. The first time I baked biscuits I was reading 350 and they came out looking like charcoal briquettes. I use a thermometer off a Kingsford grill and that works pretty well. I just stick it through the slot at the back of the top of the oven.
What size Trekology table is that? Is it the medium or large?
It’s a medium. Here’s the link: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01COU5BXY?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
@@tcsadventures thanks!👍 I ordered the medium today and came across your video. Looks perfect.
Where is your location? What campground are you at?
Lol - it’s in the description, and a title at 36 sec and a map at 38 sec. You must of dozed off. It’s San Elijo State Beach near San Diego, CA. You must of dozed off. Thanks for watching.
Yum! Sierra Nevada! Brewed here in NC as well. Good choice!! Love the video! We enjoy our oven as well
