This show is so FREACKING AMAZING. The characters, their arcs, the twists......everything is just perfect. My favourite relationship was of Mary and ava though. Simply adorable and mostly hilarious. And every time Ava talks to herself is so damn funny. Still can't belive that they left us on a cliffhanger. Just waiting for s2. "IN THIS LIFE, OR THE NEXT"!
I binged this the day that it came out and I loved it. All the characters were well made and had layers. I loved their develop and their journeys and the twists and turns that occurred throughout of it.

I never read any of the comics, but my personal theory is all of the big monster bull demons are in fact angels or servants of heaven. Their bones are divinium. In the bible, angels are terrifying creatures. If the "angel" was a demon who stole a halo, the "demons" are trying to get the halo for heaven. Lilith was pulled to heaven, not hell. She knows the truth. the red mist demons are still demons though. I could be completely wrong, however.

I don't know about others but I love Ava. I get it she's a pain in the ass and annoying BUT her character is so realistic with the kind of the given situation. I'm happy she had greyness on her. The whole series deconstructed the "Chosen One" trope, most stories like this always makes the main charac a moral, all saving, selfless heroine who would "fight for what is right" no matter their situation is. Also, she has the humor and intelligence which made her not a wooden MC.
I like the character of Ava and the other characters all in the series, but Ava has to be understood because of her story and her death. She does the boring and self-centered role well, just like her fellow "nuns" said, the audience refers too. All the actors did well in their characters, 9/10 series. The series only sins in the part of it trying to "live" with Jc and friends during 4 episodes where only 1 or 2 was enough ..

She has been locked in a wheelchair or a bed and she couldn’t leave the building for over 10 years with only one friend and then all of a sudden she has been given another chance at life with the ability to move again.what would you do? would you enjoy that life and make the most out of it or join some nuns and then risk your life
I kinda agree with you, kinda don’t. I think that it was important that Ava’s time dragged on so long with JC and his friends because she needed to make her own choice on if she would leave them. I think a lot of the first season was based on whether Ava would get a chance to make her own choices, which Mary gave her.
The one thing that this series doesn't even try to show is a nuns total devotion to the one true living GOD .that is the true essence of a nun warrior or not . she is married to god. Its not scfi-fi it is 100% faith and love.

I think the 'demons' are from a parallel dimension, Adriel is either from the same dimension or a different one who stole the 'halo' from the 'demon' dimension. So actually the 'demons' were never actually maliciously attacking at all, they just wanted their property back (which is why they only seemed to appear when the halo wasn't in human flesh). The first warrior nun suspected Adriel wasn't what he said he was, probably not as far-fetched as an 'alien' but not an angel. I'm thinking the red mist demons are from the same dimension, but they're able to come through because our two dimensions are so close. They've probably always been here even before Adriel before, just the halo which is from their same dimension gives the ability to see that mist demons because the bearer is more in tune with the demon dimensions' wavelength. If you've ever watched Stargate: SG-1, it's kind of like that one episode Sight Unseen, where those who came in contact with a device then could see alien bug apparitions. Or that one episode with Daniel's grandfather, the Crystal Skull, where it was only when you were in a parallel dimension that you were able to see the alien apparitions. Not sure how Lillith fits in the theory, but it might just be as simple as she was in the dimension too long and it started to mutate her and/or she was saved/healed by the demons and the treatment mutated her.
