This was the year of the "strike". This game was postponed till the end of the season. I got Tickets for a Christmas present & this was my First Steeler game that I went to as a boy. Nice to know that I can still watch that game 40 years later. I even got to go to the next game in the play-offs against the Chargers but we lost that game.
@@d0nKsTaHThis was Week 9 of a nine-week NFL season because of a strike and because of television commitments after the Super Bowl the season could not be easily extended to allow for additional weeks. The ninth week was cobbled together and this was one of the games brought back to make up that week.
Last regular season game with Lynn Swann and Jack Ham (they'd retire after the playoff loss vs the Chargers). Also lost were RB Sydney Thornton and WR Jim Smith (Who went to the USFL for about 3 years)
Back when you could watch the game in the stadium and send someone down to the field to get a pack o cigarettes out of ur glove box......all while you enjoy a hotdog and a beer in the stands 😂
To be 83 and 18 at home over the course of 12 years is an extraordinary feat that doesn't get enough recognition.
Love these good ol days football games with the Steelers. Especially the games at 3 Rivers! Thanks for posting this.
Bob Trumpy's Voice is Really Legendary and Iconic....He has to make the Hall Fame...SALUTE 🏈

Thanks again for sharing these old classic games
Love these old tapes. Thanks for taking the time to upload.
Costas & Trumpy were a great team. NBC had a lot of talent: Enberg/Olsen, Don Criqui, Charlie Jones, etc
Love all those guys except Costas.
Hall of Famers....They all made Sundays Truly Special, Memorable and Enjoyable. SALUTE to Them All 🏈
Charlie Jones..the voice of the 4pm west game to these ears. ..seemed like he was always on the call for Oak, SD, ect

The Steelers got crushed by the Browns in the 50's and 60's. Since then other than mid to late 80's, the Steelers have owned the old and new Browns!
Costas with the fresh, Gene Wilder haircut...
I’ve never seen him with that ‘do
Thanks for posting. I was still in college
