When I was about 9 years old I was given a silver shield shaped medallion with ''FA cup final 1904 runners up'' written on the back and engraved with a little footballer kicking a ball there too, by an old man who lived on our street. My mum used to make dinners for him & he had no living relatives left. That was in the early '70s. I kept it special all my life until ... I felt sorry for some homeless guy & let him stay overnight during bad weather (yes I know, I'm an idiot). About 2 weeks later I found that my birth certificate, gold first holy communion cross & the medal were missing. Never to be seen again. - Careful with your charity folks.
F'in cool!! McBride was a legend, 6 Scottish caps back then was worth about 60 nowadays, and probably more when goalkeeping was seriously hazardous for your health!!
