Great news, good for you! I had my first one in early Aug. they found one polyp. Had they found any with you prior to your clear one? I hope there’s hope for me that my next one will be clear. 🙏🏼
@@joannechandler5667in IBS you have no risk of cancer or polyps but your intestine gets injured sometimes. So IBS raise blood pressure and blood pressure increases risk of heart attack, brain hamerage and other failures but high blood pressure you can control with diet. In IBS you can eat everything. Your intestines absorb all the water , due to this you get stool after 2 , 3 , 4 or 5 days. Drink more water , take vitamin C and D , like lemon, Orange, Guava and glucose so you get smooth stool. By the way do not worry, your case is not risky and in this there is no problem of inflammation. IBD is dangerous because it cause cancer and inflammation. IBS is just a disorder.
Thank you for caring for people beyond your client base. Your information helped me face, ease, and overcome my abject fear of this procedure. I obtained the agency to ask questions, to figure out what was right for me (within the protocols for prep), and I achieved my goal of getting an A+ in my personal Colonoscopy Class. In gratitude for a good result, I've donated to Lead From Behind (best name for a charity related to colon cancer, right?)
I’m glad I saw this video. I had a colonoscopy last Monday and had a small polyp removed. I noticed today that I’m having some bleeding - a week later.
Wow, I feel pretty lucky, just had mine yesterday. Prep was low residual diet 2 days out, prep day clear liquid only, 6 dulcolax at 10:00, then start 64 oz. Miralax 8 oz at a time every 15 minutes. Nothing at all after midnight. Procedure at 8:00. Everything went well, zero pain/discomfort. Like nothing ever happened. This was the first for me, am I just lucky or what?
I still have major Gas Pain , Bloating and Cramps I had it yesterday But I ate heavy after my Colonoscopy which I should not have done It's also hard to pass gas 36 Hours later No Polyps Waiting for my Upper GI Biopsy
I feel for you. I've had three all natural labor and deliveries and the after gas pain was about as close to that as I've experienced. Mine lasted close to 5 hours. I stayed in recovery an hour and a half, then was sent on my merry way. At home, all I could do was lay on my side on a heating pad and try to breathe. I'm glad I'm older because I'm not sure I'll ever have another colonoscopy again. That was brutal...
- please drink plenty of spring water, veggies & fruit to help with hydration. No sugars or hard foods like popcorn & chips. Your lining is probably fragile.

There is likely a genetic component that influences how the colon moves. For example it may be the gene for your colon’s smooth muscle does not contract well or uncoordinated. There may also be shared environmental factors - such as your family diet hasn’t had much fiber. While you may have different jobs etc. you may sit down to similar dinners because that’s what you grew up eating and it strikes you as entirely normal.
Your intestine membrane do not feels pain, they given me low level of sedation , like level 2. I felt pain only 3 times , first when it entered the Colon and 2 times because of burning the polyp otherwise this pain is nothing infront of the polyp pain which I faced in a single day. Colonscopy has no pain.
@@Awkwave I am 24. Do they removed any Polyp? You are facing IBS or IBD? In IBD case, you take low fiber diet and you need to go washroom a lot. Yes you are right. But diet never matters when flare comes. I have 1 polyp of size 8mm , it was causing me too much pain, cramps below belly button and blood was coming in stools. 5 days ago they did my colonoscopy and removed this Polyp but I have IBD , my intestines swell too much and still I need to go washroom many times just for urine. But Polyp cause blood and pain. Otherwise you get blood in stools in IBS where your intestines get injured. So now I am also getting some blood in stool after colonoscopy just because of polyp is removed. When polyp flares come , I stop eating anything and still I get blood in stools for a weak with a pain like someone killing you with knife , all just because of single polyp.
@@Awkwave in IBS you can eat anything , you can eat high fiber diet , use of vitamin C and D because to avoid constipation. But in IBD, you eat low fiber diet. Both IBS and IBD has no cure. But IBS is only a disorder so it cause no cancer. But IBD cause inflammation and Cancer. So try to eat less. When flare will hit you , whatever you eat , it will have no effect on your constipation or diarrhea.
I think the Miralax is no good for me I have an inflammation in my entire stomach I did before both endoscopy and colonoscopy this is the first time I’m in pain.
Is it normal got one today 7:30 am. By 8 pm had burning sensation in my right side were my colon is not painful but just cool burning sensation had 2 small polybs removed
Why do they give you Propofol (so you cant remember what you went thru) if there is No Pain????? Why not give you a Sensitive for the Pain but you can remember??? 😊
Just had my third last Friday. No polyps! Hurray! I’m 72, so maybe no more for me.

@@alexac921, no, polyps never found in any of my previous 2. I have IBS, so good to know that nothing major internally is causing my symptoms.

Thank you for helping apprehensive patients like myself. You're very well spoken and present the facts in an easy to understand matter.
Thanks. I’m glad it helps. It’s why we do this.

They will still do it and ask that you wear pads.

Why would severe constipation run in a family, even with different lifestyles, male, female, active jobs, desk jobs, sporty or not sporty?

I have some Zofran. Should I take 1?
You should call the clinic where it was performed so you can be given real advice. They will have an on call doctor.
