The ceramic magnet JB is usually known in forums as the "Distortion Lite" since it sounds a little less gainy than the original distortion, because of its regular sized magnet.
There's many rumours floating on the internet regarding the pickups George lynch used in the early Dokken records, one of them being that he used a regular sized ceramic magnet on his SD Distortion instead of an oversized one, or that he used a ceramic JB. Whether this is true or not, it's still a cool sounding fat JB.
