Fascinating stuff and remarkably clear to walk along, if a little wet in places. The underpass at the end just demonstrates how sturdy and well made those structures were, it's nearly 60 years since it last saw a train and it looks just about as strong as ever.
Great walk. What is striking is immense scale of the cuttings and embankments and the very impressive brick architecture - even for farm access. A pity though, that it's not open as a long-distance footpath/cycleway. Thank you.
Great video, brings back some memories. The GC viaduct at Helmdon crossed over the Towcester to Banbury line which was closed in the 1950s, good to see from your drone shots that the trackbed is still extant.
Alot of old drinks bottles etc where discarded by the demolition crews that spent alot of time on the permanent way , as the tracks were the very last of the infrastructure to go , i believe this section still had one track down until sometime in the early 1970s. Great video as always thank you.

Found a couple of lovely LNER marked porcelain insulators along this section some 10 or so years ago. Always enjoy a good yomp on the GC 👍
