this video has OPENED MY EYES. I've been really struggling on the intuitive eating journey as a person with a history of disordered eating, and I haven't understood why until now. I keep turning it into food rules, and then I feel even more out of control around food. thank you so so much for this. ❤️

how has it been going for you since? I often have these realizations too, but often, it's just a one-day-aha-moment..

Tempted to include the balanced eating as rules - protein, fat, complex carbs, veggies - enter my disordered eating brain! Trying to learn to be more flexible... Thank you! Trust in rules versus ourselves. I like the challenge to do a few things differently to break the "habits" in our brains. You are amazing in breaking down how so many of our mindsets affect both our relationship with food and the way it affects all the parts of our life. It is a broader issue to consider. To find freedom in all areas of our lives!!

I wanted to say that weight loss and healing your relationship with the food do not need to exclude each other. When you eat better, more regularly and balanced you will probably be able to keep your weight and maybe even slowly loose some. Like she said the focus should be on healing this relationship and taking care of yourself and being flexible enough in this journey and not just another diet or an exercise plan

Wow wow wow. This really helped me to see how much I have grown in my journey. I haven’t “arrived” but I’m learning to be more flexible. It’s been such a challenge but you put into words exactly what I have been learning intuitively as I have been healing from my ED. 💖
