This is so wonderful...seriously as some people have said here, the writers created a phenomenal female tv character in kate beckett. Stana and nathan were just amazing. I fell in love with them as kate and castle. Bcoz kate and castle actually embody what love is, a partnership. Yes chemistry, sex, laughs...sure. but the solid ground is partnership, having each other's backs.
Castle makes the weird come out of Kate, I mean what other of Kate's boyfriends would make a handshake romantic. This is why Castle is right for her, at times he acts like a child. Kate got into the childlike act after the first few episodes of season 5. Plus Castle is a goofy guy who has the same brain waves as Kate in all their cases.

So sad ABC cancelled this show. Same thing they did to Hart to Hart years ago. Someone did not know what they were doing. Andrew Marlow created a great series and truly understood the especially the character of Kate Beckett. Ms Stanic and Mr. Marlow you created a truly iconic female television series character that you both should be proud of. Absolutely loved the cast - Mr. Fillion and Ms Katic your characters love story was phenomenal but so much more needed to be told- all the characters Esposito, Ryan, Alexis, Martha, Lanie -loved Lanie! More exploration into friendships, adventures, relationships (especially Alexis and Kate after the marriage) The only flaw in the writing was attributing Castles's disappearance to "solving a world crisis" - would have been better if related to someone getting revenge on Kate or exploring how Kate would have reacted to Castle getting beat up or mugged in New York and being found in the same place as her mother was murdered. What a phenomenal series and above all the love story thanks so much to the entire cast and crew especially Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion and Andrew Marlow - bring this series back even if on Hallmark network or periodic movie so much more need sot be told and these characters are unforgettable THANK _YOU and you are all missed so much!!!!
I think that what spoiled the series a little was the 360° turn that happened. The show went from simple murder cases to plots that escaped the jurisdiction of NY. Conspiracy theories, international intrigue, government betrayal. All of this made the series lose its best features. A lot of things could have been shown differently, even the murder of Beckett's mother could have been included for an ending of the series.
The show was cancelled because Nathan and Stana absolutely hated each other and Stana wouldn’t have returned for season 9. So instead they cancelled the show and I think it was for the better.
Myles, I can't imagine the huge amount of work putting together the multitude of related scenes under different headings......I watched the stream of different headings and enjoy my own flash backs since I'm a huge fan of Castle. I really appreciate your work. Thank You !!!!

OMG! So it's not just me! I've been comparing the relationship between these two to that of Lizzy and Darcy, except, emotionally Kate is more Darcy and Castle got past her defenses the way Elizabeth did Darcy. The writers, producers, and actors really touched on something timeless with these two--- especially the Character of Kate Beckett---there was so much more development that could have been done there.
I wish their romance would have continue as intense as the first two kisses, but it really went down heel after they got together, we did not see there back an for as passionate as before, the passion was lost. But still an incredible story. She did look more in love with him than he was by the last two seasons.
Thanks for reminding me why i started loving Castle in the first place. But damn. Why did ABC have to kill such a great series with that finale? Started watching the Mentalist instead. Okay series, weird romantic build up but at least with a better ending then Castle. Yeah i know why they had to do what they did, when it leaked out that they was gonna kill off Beckett, but still damn, damn, damn. Dumb decision. Castle without Beckett and scenes like this? That would just been dogshit.

I think they really underestimated Lisbon in the end. It's like from the strong , determined detective she went to someone who couldn't be supported without Jane. And the character wasn't like that in the beginning. She had to get into the FBI with a favour.. and she was better than that. Anyways had to let it out 😂😂😂
Can you even imagine Castle as a character?! The only believable reaction would be to make him dark and brooding. Maybe even spiral out of control. Is that what people signed on for?

Why kill off Castle, that would be so devistating to Beckett,as she lost her mother and now she would loose Castle,surely the ABC could give us fans many more series,perhaps ending with the wedding and later little Castles & Becketts, just look at the series SVU, that is still going, Come on ABC and producers,give the fans a good deal. Castle isn't dead. AWM said in a interview after 6x23 he plans to get them married very soon. He knows the fans were upset w/the ending, but he`s trying to tell a story. Don`t be surprised the wedding early in Season 7.Like S7 x Ep2.
