Exactly! so far, including purchase, MOT and parts, it owes me £460. If this ABS pump fixes the issue then I will be treating it to a service and timing belt change.
Hey Neil.. so did the code come back up for EGR P0401?? CLEANED my EGR and replaced ASV WHICH WAS FAILTY. still get insufficient flow code.. blocked EGR with 12mm hole but still throwing a code. Maybe I may have to just turn off EGR via VCDS .. might check fuses first but may indicate bad EGR.
The remap was £180 but the vary upto about £250. I have used the same person for a lot of cars so get a discount. It was probably a degreaser engine cleaner spray or brake cleaner. Both work well.
I’m getting code P0401 for the EGR and P2002 for the DPF being plugged. Any idea if the EGR being clogged can cause the DPF not to regen? I’ve been trying to get it to regen but it hasn’t been working. I’m going to try cleaning up the EGR like you did, but I figured I would ask in the meantime. Thanks!
i replaced my EGR as i had the same code now im getting a bluey/white smoke out the exhaust when i rev it and drive it i have the video on my page any idea what it could be?
I had a look at the video. It only seems to smoke under very hard reving. Do you see it when driving normally? It’s not uncommon to see smoke like this when revved.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel it does it constantly, rev it on idle and it smokes bad, and when you drive it low revs or high revs it just puffs out, its a 2006 Audi A3 2.0 TDI BKD engine
@@reecevinall9513 doesn’t sound right. Is it performing as well as it did before? I wonder if it’s getting coolant in the EGR (assuming the smoke could be steam).
It amazes me that you can get a moving vehicle with all its refinements for almost pennies

Hi Gavin, unfortunately it did return, but I had the EGR coded out when it was remapped and didn't get any further issues after that.
My returned alao i bought new egr and yet turned motor light on is there any way without coding(
How much did the remap cost and what was using (spray can)to clean the crud off the engine before you removed the EGR.

On some cars, I’d the EGR isn’t opening it can’t get the heat into the DPF to regen so it is possible it could be the issue.
I've got a few long bolts on my car too... 🙈
A few? :-D

What year, model and engine is the car?

Did u fix the over boost code p0234
I had the EGR value coded out. Since then I’ve had no issues.
So far so good - looks like it could turn out to be a real peach 🍑
We shall see later in the week when the ABS pump has been completed.
