OH dear!, that brings back unhappy memories, as a rider in the early 70 I dreaded stuff that stopped working, not just scooters EVERY bike I ever owned lol, some I think I pushed further than I ever drove. Great video, takes us right back thank you
I used to run out of petrol so often on mine, that I became quite adept at moving the fuel tap to reserve with my heel. Your little beauty seems to go pretty fast, keep enjoying it!
Hi Greg, the Lambretta was about 1960 workers' motocycle, in Italy, and the Vespa students' motocycle..there was a..war but Lambretta always wins because more speed than Vespa,on the contrary more chic...Congratulations for your Lambretta!
I used to love doing these rides on my SX150 but now I have a constant fear of idiots on the road that spoils it for me, maybe it's just me getting old but as much as I want to I can't do this anymore.
You know brother, the best thing in lambretta is the right hand front brake lever. This design has not been repeated in any other vehicle. The position of the front brake lever is so scientifically and ergonomically placed that the rider can never accelerate and brake at the same time and the front leaning is anticipated in that position resulting in smooth and effortless and safe front braking.
two strokes enjoy being thrashed. it's how they work..in the higher Rev range..IE power band what you keep hearing people talk about..dropping out of the power band is when revs drop so low you open throttle and nothing..plus if your engine is bog standard you might want to upgrade for todays driving conditions..25 mph up a hill might have been ok in 1960 but not today. youl get a car driving over the top of you..just takes a car driver to speak to his passenger. turn to talk to kids in the back or tune a radio in and crunch hes on top of your rear wheel..four stroke engines labour more comfortably.
A very nice cruise, one of the best!! Could you please tell me how did you get the camera fixed? I'd like to do some images in this position, riding my LI 150.
Ma certo che la lanbretta ha la sua bellezza ma e' strana perche la vespa 'piu stretta di dietro e poco poco piu larga davanti . La lanbretta e larga sia davanti che dietro quinti e'proprio strana rispetto alla vespa (:

Cheers Ron 👍🏻😁
Felt like as if I was riding myself.... Excellent video. Thank you so much brother.... Real time travel.... 👍
Thanks for the comment buddy :)
What an incredibly beautiful country England is.
It sure is! Thanks Oscar.
Yeah I've been to Los Angeles.
***** Santa Monica/Malibu is pretty decent ;-)
Oscar Featherstone they won’t take it from us
Could they make the roads any narrower? Yikes

Thanks Leanne! Good idea on learning to 'heel' the fuel tap. I'll try that. Safer than leaning over and making the scoot wobble around! Cheers
Thanks for the video! Can't wait to get my series 3 on the road when I'm finished restoring it!
+ChinnuWoW Good luck, and have fun!

+domenico giannattasio Thanks Domenico, i didn't know that !
domenico giannattasio na, Vespa is nicer and more reliable. Plus under seat storage.
Had another pillion ride, I can see quite clearly looking over your shoulder. You live in a lovely part of the world.
+Leanne Matthews Thanks Leanne :)

Poor Old Girl.. She's Old & Tired.. She's Still Got Her Looks Though..!!!!..
There's plenty of life in the old girl Joanne ;-)
going down the hill, just pop it into 4th and flip the throttle now and then, 4th can also be used as an in gear 'neutral'
Recorri mi pais Colombia en lambert y toda via la tengo,Jamas Sadler de Ella.felices recuerdos.
Why would you want a big modern bike on big busy roads ,this is brilliant it's enjoyable to watch bet it's brilliant to ride ,excellent

I am watching this right after I finished my own ride on my Scoot. Beautiful countryside; which part of England is this?
Thought the throttle cable had snapped for a moment there.

UK roads are for everyone to use.
lovely old scoot, is those roads just after high wycombe towards aylesbury?
Cheers! Yes, they're the roads Dave.
Condiments of the season!
Are these actual roads ? The look like a driveway here in the States
Verygood Lambetta 150 old motobike t2❤❤
Hi, awesome bike, could you please explain me a little bit how you use the choker on that thing? It's crucial te get mine working. Thanks!
There's not much to say, you turn the choke on before you start it, then turn it off after a couple of minutes when its warming up :)
A very nice cruise, one of the best!! Could you please tell me how did you get the camera fixed? I'd like to do some images in this position, riding my LI 150.
Thanks Marco! I used a GoPro on the suction mount stalk, tied to my chest with an old belt. Cheap and simple !
Great video, thanks for the journey! :) Where in the world are you? Looks beautiful!
+taiwarrior1 Thanks Tai, This was filmed near High Wycome in southern England.
Do you known how fast the engine can rev? I've searched on Google but can't find an answer for some reason.
sorry, i have no idea :(
Greg Lakin I read somewhere that it could go up to 5.5k rpm!
This can't be a Hertfordshire country lane as you can go 20 feet without meeting someone coming the other way!
Sleepy Buckinghamshire :)
60 miles or km?
Miles
Would look really nice with some mirrors on the steering top!
Brilliant video. I want to start making videos like this. What camera do you use? And how have you mounted it?
still going strong after all that time👌👌nice bike👌👌very reliable👌👌not liking the color of the bike though👎👎but still A nice bike👌👌
Lovely scooter, hope to own one of these one day! What sort of top end speed you get out of these things?
Thanks Ben. On a good day i can manage an indicated 45-50mph. But i've never tested it against a GPS for any accuracy. It might be a different story.
Greg Lakin Do you know if there's a big difference in speed between a 125 and a 200?
+ChinnuWoW There is a big difference. My LI125 would do about 50 mph my friends SX200 would do near to 70mph. SX had about 14bhp, the 125 had about 6.
@@gernsteine i get about 45 outa my Li150 i think all standard scoots do the same speed
debriyaj kolunu niye sıkıştırmadınız
They should fit that gear change to all bikes and save the scuff marks on me left shoe !
Haha, yes i agree. It would have saved the oily patch on my left shoe too.
Can’t say I like the road much
labouring an engine like that your in danger of bending the con-rod.
Thanks Kev, didn't realise that. Higher revs are the way to go then.
Beautiful place.. where is this?
Jessica Thomas Thanks! Its near Saunderton in Bucks.
Hedge city
i see your speedo is working as normal LOL
Yup, just changed it too, lasted 196miles before chewing itself again. bloody things eh !
i wonder if my mum will buy me one
Nice
My God, that's not riding but surfing up and down

+Pasquale Matassa
L' sono entrambe le macchine belle :)
NO WAY IS THIS REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, yep its real Ray ! I went up a hill in the wrong gear and stalled it. Because i'm basically an idiot.
La vespa mi piace di più
Grazie mille Marco!
Allora guardati solo video di vespa e non rompere:)
