I've wondered for a long time how they learn to do any of that. Other than Snape's potions class, there doesn't seem to be any class in how to create magical items, yet somehow they learn to do it, and Harry, Hermione, and Ron never do. And somehow, the Marauders created the Marauder's Map - an incredibly powerful magical object, capable of seeing the entire castle (except for the Rom of Requirement and the Chamber of Secrets), including all the secret entrances and exits, and seeing through disguises and invisibility and polyjuice potion and animaguses, etc. How did four students manage to create such a thing?
@@PhilBagels i think Fred and Georges inventions can be summed up to lots of trial and error. its heavily implied in books 4 and 5 that Fred and George tried for a ridiculous time and had to many failed attempts to count. They also probably spent time study certain plant and animal properties to see what to use for certain items. I have absoluteyno ideas how the marauders did it though

IMHO They're probably meant to encountered a bunch of strange artifacts while trying to find stuff to help Lupin with his Moony stuff, had a lot of connections with some shady powerful wizards who would teach kids advanced magic like animagus for $$$, etc (might have helped to have a Black in the crew) no pun intended

This is actually a really cool moment since at the time harry was getting out months of unchecked PTSD and trauma, as well as having to deal with the abuse if the Dursleys. Not only do his friends let him get it all out rather than yelling back, but they also encourage him to do so and make jokes to lighten the mood. Really shows how cool of characters they are

One of my favorite scenes of them which also a fave scene with Professor McGonagall, is while she is teaching them about dancing at the Yule Ball, Fred and George make fun of Ron and Harry is asking them not to let this moment down. And when they had tried to cheat getting into the tournament, but their plan backfired and the twins just wrestled each other.

It's hard for every Fred and George moment not to be a solid choice for favorite Fred and George moment. Even those instances where they are just being totally serious, they are still doing something super useful. They are very well rounded characters that are great in any situation.

I doubt Ben and J will see this, but I had an interesting theory Who's the owner of the riddle house when Voldy and Ratman are there? My theory: Lucius Malfoy. It seems reasonable that he would own an extra house in case any Death Eaters need to hide out or anything, plus it makes sense why the owner was never there. It's surrounded by muggles. Lucius would never associate with muggles. I hope you see this because I'd love to see what you make of it.

i can't remember if this is in the books or not but i always laugh at the part in the first movie where they're talking to harry about quidditch and they're like "no one's died in years; someone will vanish occasionally but they turn up in a month or two."
From the first when Mrs. Weasley says how they don't want to get a letter from Hogwarts saying they blew up a toilet seat. George was like mom we have not done that, but thanks for the idea. Then when trying to cheer up Ginny he was like its okay Ginny I will send you a Hogwarts toilet seat. Then when Harry wakes up in the hospital after the fight in the first book and Dumbledore says that Fred and George left him a gift of a toilet seat .
In book 2 they don't just believe in Harry against everyone saying he's the heir of Slytherin, but support him in the most Weasley twin way - marching him to every class saying 'make way for the heir of slytherin'. They're both doing it to keep him safe from hexes etc in the corridors and to make a joke out of it so Harry doesn't feel so attacked. Since they weren't in Harry's year, they were most likely having to run back and forth to their own classes to do this

It's also sort of a surprise to them, as identical twins are not actually all that identical and the small differences would be glaringly obvious to them.
Chris East Yeah I definitely agree. I am not a identical twin but my best friends are and when you get to know them you do notice more differences then other people. However my parents still somehow cannot tell them apart.
I also loved that moment in the Order of the Phoenix where you can see the twins calming down a little boy after he had detention. It really put focus on them that they weren't only class clowns but caring big brothers that probably did the same for Ron and Ginny (except for that part where they managed to turn Ron's teddy bear into a spider haha)

Fred and George are great characters. They always have Harry’s back through out them whole series. I think they look up to Harry in a weird way. Definitely respect him.

My theory: Lucius Malfoy. It seems reasonable that he would own an extra house in case any Death Eaters need to hide out or anything, plus it makes sense why the owner was never there. It's surrounded by muggles. Lucius would never associate with muggles. I hope you see this because I'd love to see what you make of it.
My favorite food and George moment is definitely hands down when peds salutes them but I guess that's included in the exit but it's super epic

i can't remember if this is in the books or not but i always laugh at the part in the first movie where they're talking to harry about quidditch and they're like "no one's died in years; someone will vanish occasionally but they turn up in a month or two."

From the first when Mrs. Weasley says how they don't want to get a letter from Hogwarts saying they blew up a toilet seat. George was like mom we have not done that, but thanks for the idea. Then when trying to cheer up Ginny he was like its okay Ginny I will send you a Hogwarts toilet seat. Then when Harry wakes up in the hospital after the fight in the first book and Dumbledore says that Fred and George left him a gift of a toilet seat .

In book 2 they don't just believe in Harry against everyone saying he's the heir of Slytherin, but support him in the most Weasley twin way - marching him to every class saying 'make way for the heir of slytherin'. They're both doing it to keep him safe from hexes etc in the corridors and to make a joke out of it so Harry doesn't feel so attacked. Since they weren't in Harry's year, they were most likely having to run back and forth to their own classes to do this

Just realized that when they say “we’re identical” before the flight if the seven potters, it is the last time they are truly identical as George loses his ear
It's also sort of a surprise to them, as identical twins are not actually all that identical and the small differences would be glaringly obvious to them.

Yeah I definitely agree. I am not a identical twin but my best friends are and when you get to know them you do notice more differences then other people. However my parents still somehow cannot tell them apart.

I also loved that moment in the Order of the Phoenix where you can see the twins calming down a little boy after he had detention. It really put focus on them that they weren't only class clowns but caring big brothers that probably did the same for Ron and Ginny (except for that part where they managed to turn Ron's teddy bear into a spider haha)
They were very caring of Ginny, but, they also tested products on first years...
