I know when I am selfless and do something good- I myself feel great, I feel more compelled to keep doing it and feel I a have a responsibility to keep doing that. My thinking process changed dramatically, I am more positive, more driven to push through hardship and more optimistic and friendly. In the same way, when I act selfish or do something disappointing, I can become inclined to just continue acting that way, my mindset changes. etc. That being said, our actions do change how others are around us. I think both can be true. Nonetheless, whatever his reasons may be for giving away and donating- it is still a selfless thing to do and it does have a real world impact to the people that money directly benefits.
I have a lot of admiration for Seungi. His strength and resilience is amazing and frustrating to watch. He is such a talented guy and a genuinely nice man. He does so much good and I for one will continue to cheer him on.

The biggest lie out there is that 'we fall in love'. The term 'falling in love' suggests that you have no control over who you love, this is complete nonsense. You have complete control over who you choose to love. You should make a good responsible choice for your life partner, not made on how you feel but on rather on whether the two of you can navigate this life together as a couple. Feelings lie to us on a daily basis, too many people base their choices on how they feel. Actors are notorious for this as their job is based on feelings and on how to show those feelings on screen etc, hence the failure rate of their marriages is over 80%. In any relationship love is something that grows over time and becomes successful when you continually make sacrifices for each other and serve each other with respect and honour. It is made with having a common goal in life, a common purpose and belief from how to raise your children to how to pursue future goals and what those goals should be.

I think the *real* issue is people think it's "unfair" that a woman like Da In got a guy like Seung Gi. They think/feel she didn't deserve him because of her family and so they turned all that animosity onto him. It's simply crazy how two completely innocent people are being castigated for someone else's wrongdoings. I believe that in Korea the public has serious problems as they should pay more attention to their lives and not to that of others or specifically to the love life of their idols, actors or singers. Love must be respected and two people who want to be together must be free to date!!! If this is not the case in Korea as seen in the TV series "Doona!" there is a big underlying cultural problem! If it is love it must be respected and they must have the sacred right to be able to date without any ifs or buts!!

There is only one reason I was against the wedding that is they are both celebrities and I am totally against celebrities marrying each other. The failure rate of celebrity marriages is a whopping 80%+. Not a good way to start any union and certainly not if you believe that marriage is sacred and needs to be protected from those who are very flippant about it (generally entertainers are one profession that are disgusting when it comes to respecting a marriage). But since they have now married I pray that it will be a success only time will tell. Seungi never said his father in law was innocent. He never said he was convicted unfairly and wasn't even speaking on his past convictions. He was talking about their current case which is still pending in court after he was acquitted in the second trial. In other words, there is no official guilty verdict (yet). What was wrong in clarifying that? Multiple media articles had to correct their articles because their statements were not backed up with court/evidence. Also, are we going to ignore the first half of his statement which was just him defending his right to a personal life? I bet you, if he had been left alone and not dragged into taking responsibility for his father in laws crimes, there wouldn't have been a statement in the first place. Seungi is one of the highest paid celebrities in korea. He has all the money in the world to pay for his wedding. If she wanted that tiara then so be it. Why are people suddenly acting like this man is poor or now living off his in laws? This man gave away millions of his unpaid earnings. Gave another couple of billion to university childrens hospital in seoul and is personally funding their project of building a new ward. He also funds several other projects- the list goes on and on. He is also an investor in building a 'little seoul' in the Philippines. Their wedding photos and videos weren't even meant for the public eye. It was specifically requested that they wouldn't be shared but of course is it any surprise that people don't listen? For all intents and purposes, this couple has always been very low key and private. They even left the country in private, no one knew, until a fan shared pictures of them after they said no. Believe me, many of us know this case, we know the details and we know that many people were hurt in the process. It is tragic and very disappointing to see the lack of justice. However that does not excuse the awful bullying and harassment he has been receiving. Last I checked neither Seungi nor Dain have committed any crimes. They have been hated on since the very beginning. He had protest trucks sent to his neighbourhood demanding he break up with her because of her parents! This case has been going on since 2011. These so called outraged netizens have had all the time in the world to be angry. Send the protest trucks, make petitions that should have got 300,000 signatures at a minimum! Did they? No, they didn't because they don't actually care about helping anyone. Dain was relatively left alone in peace. she doesn't have a huge social media presence and rarely ever posts. Look at any post before she was dating Seungi. Her comments were not filled with hate and cries for justice but then Seungi was in the picture and suddenly people are outraged again? How is this helping anyone? How are the all these victims getting any justice? The real issue is people think it's "unfair" that a woman like Da In got a guy like Seung Gi. They think/feel she didn't deserve him because of her family and so they turned all that animosity onto him. Like now he's just as flawed and undeserving of praise, attention, respect, etc. If he could POSSIBLY love someone from a family like that then he must be a terribly defective person. This animosity only grew when they saw how they couldn't bully and gaslight him into submitting to their demands which was to break up with her! Why do I think this? Because NO ONE cared about Da In, her sister, or their family until Seung Gi & Da In's relationship was revealed. She continued working and living her life. Everyone continued living their lives. Seungi and Dain deserve the right to be together and live happily. Neither of them committed a crime and as long as they are good to each other the what can you can you do? Seungi's own mother spoke fondly of Dain and said she was good to him. leave them alone- end of story.

I know when I am selfless and do something good- I myself feel great, I feel more compelled to keep doing it and feel I a have a responsibility to keep doing that. My thinking process changed dramatically, I am more positive, more driven to push through hardship and more optimistic and friendly. In the same way, when I act selfish or do something disappointing, I can become inclined to just continue acting that way, my mindset changes. etc.
That being said, our actions do change how others are around us. I think both can be true.
Nonetheless, whatever his reasons may be for giving away and donating- it is still a selfless thing to do and it does have a real world impact to the people that money directly benefits.

I believe that in Korea the public has serious problems as they should pay more attention to their lives and not to that of others or specifically to the love life of their idols, actors or singers. Love must be respected and two people who want to be together must be free to date!!! If this is not the case in Korea as seen in the TV series "Doona!" there is a big underlying cultural problem! If it is love it must be respected and they must have the sacred right to be able to date without any ifs or buts!!

A fan works in an office, they do your job well, therefore they get to stay working and continue to get paid. I don't know about you, but if my boss even raised the topic of not being pleased with my private life, let alone forbid my choices, they would never raise that topic again, with me or anyone else. No, I wouldn't quit my job because of that, but the boss would either accept that they overstepped a boundary and amend their behaviour as well as thought process, or I would see to it that they would quit their job. Then onto Lee Da In...sooooooo isn't it a bit archaic to have the children pay for the sins of the father???? How is it her fault regarding anything her parents did? There is only one reason I was against the wedding that is they are both celebrities and I am totally against celebrities marrying each other. The failure rate of celebrity marriages is a whopping 80%+. Not a good way to start any union and certainly not if you believe that marriage is sacred and needs to be protected from those who are very flippant about it (generally entertainers are one profession that are disgusting when it comes to respecting a marriage).
But since they have now married I pray that it will be a success only time will tell. Nothing against either of them personally, in fact I am a big 'fan' of LSG and hoped that he would marry successfully and it would be for a lifetime.
I can't believe the amount of people defending these two, yikes. International fans will defend even a squirrel if it's Korean. Lee Seung Gi literally defended his father-in-law and claims that the allegations are "baseless" on his own IG. For context, the father-in-law was convicted in the court and is the SECOND largest scammer in Korean history. They also had no issues flaunting that giant ass Tiara on their wedding which definitely just wasn't bought with LSG's or his wife's money. Netizens are angry and for good reason, it isn't "haha, Koreans bad" this time.

Seungi never said his father in law was innocent. He never said he was convicted unfairly and wasn't even speaking on his past convictions. He was talking about their current case which is still pending in court after he was acquitted in the second trial. In other words, there is no official guilty verdict (yet). What was wrong in clarifying that? Multiple media articles had to correct their articles because their statements were not backed up with court/evidence. Also, are we going to ignore the first half of his statement which was just him defending his right to a personal life? I bet you, if he had been left alone and not dragged into taking responsibility for his father in laws crimes, there wouldn't have been a statement in the first place.
Seungi is one of the highest paid celebrities in korea. He has all the money in the world to pay for his wedding. If she wanted that tiara then so be it. Why are people suddenly acting like this man is poor or now living off his in laws? This man gave away millions of his unpaid earnings. Gave another couple of billion to university childrens hospital in seoul and is personally funding their project of building a new ward. He also funds several other projects- the list goes on and on. He is also an investor in building a 'little seoul' in the Philippines. Their wedding photos and videos weren't even meant for the public eye. It was specifically requested that they wouldn't be shared but of course is it any surprise that people don't listen? For all intents and purposes, this couple has always been very low key and private. They even left the country in private, no one knew, until a fan shared pictures of them after they said no.
Believe me, many of us know this case, we know the details and we know that many people were hurt in the process. It is tragic and very disappointing to see the lack of justice. However that does not excuse the awful bullying and harassment he has been receiving. Last I checked neither Seungi nor Dain have committed any crimes. They have been hated on since the very beginning. He had protest trucks sent to his neighbourhood demanding he break up with her because of her parents! This case has been going on since 2011. These so called outraged netizens have had all the time in the world to be angry. Send the protest trucks, make petitions that should have got 300,000 signatures at a minimum! Did they? No, they didn't because they don't actually care about helping anyone. Dain was relatively left alone in peace. she doesn't have a huge social media presence and rarely ever posts. Look at any post before she was dating Seungi. Her comments were not filled with hate and cries for justice but then Seungi was in the picture and suddenly people are outraged again? How is this helping anyone? How are the all these victims getting any justice?
The real issue is people think it's "unfair" that a woman like Da In got a guy like Seung Gi. They think/feel she didn't deserve him because of her family and so they turned all that animosity onto him. Like now he's just as flawed and undeserving of praise, attention, respect, etc.
If he could POSSIBLY love someone from a family like that then he must be a terribly defective person. This animosity only grew when they saw how they couldn't bully and gaslight him into submitting to their demands which was to break up with her!
Why do I think this? Because NO ONE cared about Da In, her sister, or their family until Seung Gi & Da In's relationship was revealed. She continued working and living her life. Everyone continued living their lives.
Seungi and Dain deserve the right to be together and live happily. Neither of them committed a crime and as long as they are good to each other the what can you can you do? Seungi's own mother spoke fondly of Dain and said she was good to him.
