LYRICS
I tried to get out my head
Tried to declutter my space
Feng shui get out my own way
Still hear this noise all around
Still building up its so loud
Baby could you turn it way down
And give me a groove
Like you used to be
Put me in the mood
Like I used to be
Stop what you're doin
And come dance with me
2 step in the living room, with me
We don't have all the control
So much pressure to keep on
It's clear that we just don't know
And it's alright
Don't wanna think anymore
Throw them numbers at the door
Just know there's four on the floor
For the whole night
Give me a groove
Like you used to be
Put me in the mood
Like I used to be
Stop what you're doin
And come dance with me
2 step in the living room, with me
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need
This is all that I need, need
Stop what you're doin
And come dance with me
2 step in the living room, with me
All that I need

Featuring Me! Actor I. Elijah Baughman. Appreciate the opportunity Calmatic and company. :)
You look just like my favorite cousin, That's why this is sooo believable!! Great job!! Much continued success, Brotha!!
You are such an attractive gentleman! You brought such a beautiful vulnerability to this song. Sir you are appreciated 🙏🏾
Both of you were excellent!!!
great work Baba! This felt so very familiar and authentic!
@@tyrelllindsley7030 Thanks so much! But I Gotta give it up to the good brotha Calmatic and his divine vision for that!He explained to me before the shoot that he had this Idea for a while. So I just acted as a vessel. This experience was truly a blessing 🙏🏾 And His Direction was SUPERB! ✊🏾💯
We as Black Ppl don’t get to see enough of this imagery anymore. I’m so glad to see it!
Where else can we see it? 🧐
I love it!
Are they black? Who cares?? Why does race even matter??
That's so true. We stay fighting gender wars on INSTAGRAM
Can we all agree how blessed we are to be able to live and hear this great man Terrance Martin.
Yeah dude is a cold musician.
I'm witcha on that one, and thus young lady as well🎉
Don't forget about Alex isley...... it's a beautiful blend
Very true,classic .

The LA Blackness of this video and the music as a whole. I love it.
It really takes me back to my younger days growing up around my fam in LA
This!
I agree came to make this comment song is a such vibe
Besides location is there something specific about “LA Blackness” that makes it different than Blackness from any other religion/location?
@@waynedexterit’s the culture. The love, rhythm, it’s what we do. You gotta be from LA to know it.
Dear TH-cam, I would appreciate more of this to hit my algorithm instead of the new Lil Drill Dealer Kill's new video.
The world needs this so bad!!
Same!
💯
I second this request
AMEN AND …AMEN
This what's missing in the world right now. People don't dance with each other anymore. Some people probably wont ever experience this type of love.
Amen. May you dance everyday for the rest of your days🙌🏽
I wish
Yep, those pictures and this song brought back some of the best memories of my childhood.
Yes Sir!..back in the day had to court a woman..some slow music and ambiance!
it’s never missing when it can be found.
Who trynna fall in love to this 💞😭
Damn
@YouCantSeeMee4 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
I'm right here
🙋🏾🙋🏾🙋🏾
I hope not
Someone please tell me why this song is not blaring smoothly from every radio everywhere!
TU Terrace and Alex for Real Music!
Take note young folks.
Seems like radio that would play this great music doesn’t exist anymore ! Rafio plays the same 6 songs . Even satellite struggles playing new music !
You might hear it MAYBE on a college Jazz/Soul radio station ... if they even exist anymore.
I love that acoustic break in the middle with just Terrace and Alex. I already liked the song but that was a nice treat.
If the whole song was this id be in love tbh
Absolutely agree!
The video really enhanced how BEAUTIFUL this song really is. This was ART.
The raw talent that is Terrace and Alex is just breathtaking! That older living room piano never sounded so good!
Yaaaaaaasssss
Bellies bald heads and scruff fresh home still in their work uniforms 🫦
😅
I pray for one every day 🙏 🥰😍🥰
@@eyelovejazz32we love jazz! 😁✌🏽👍🏾
Grown ass man sitting on this end at 49 years old and feeling every second of this. Feeling every emotion. Got a queen that stood by me through all the BS I did and dumb choices but always saw the real me and made me better. Not the man I am today without the love and support of a beautiful and strong women. Respect

I am not from LA at all, but after watching this video, I can fully imagine, vizualize, hear and feeeeel what an LA love feels like for our west coast cousins. For that, I love this so much on every level. Nothing but love coming from the DMV✌🏾🙏🏾

One of the coolest songs I ever heard. 😎
This video is extremely powerful if you get it. I’m in tears rn.
this was so beautiful 🫶🏽🫶🏽🥰
I love her voice and musicality....
Nothing like 70s style when we slow dragged close with our women and showed them love this generation is afraid to and don't know how to give or receive love and affection. SAD. GOD bless this generation and please bless us ALL.
I applaud 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 anyone who can listen to this just once…this song got me in a chokehold!!!😩😩🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can remember my mother and father dancing together on this hunter green carpet in the living room when I was boy. Our mother was a fantastic dancer. Our father could only dance well if he was slow dancing. We had no furniture in the living room. My father set up some sort of lighting that made it look like a studio floor. The way they moved together was very much like a modern jazz duet. For those who know; WBLS in New York played very good music with Frankie Crocker as the DJ. I can recall how in sync they seemed to be. I could feel their love and passion for each other. I was always excited about growing up and becoming a man and finding a Black woman that I could vibe and grow with and make a family to pass on the love and affection I felt from them and through them. I still feel that way. I still remember that. I once asked them both what happened to make that change? My father said it was “the pressures”. He found the pressures of maintaining a family to be overwhelming and responded impatiently and violently. My mother who was 6 years younger than him, said that she was young and passionate and she believed in our father. She believed him to be the man he portrayed himself to be. Our father even admitted that she didn’t really do anything to him. He actually said it was he who did most of the doing. In that they both agreed. But when they broke up she was left with the majority of responsibilities to take care of herself and 4 boys. She told me that she did not want that. She never imagined she would have to be in that position. She said she wanted to be a wife and a mother. Not one or the other. So the pressures eventually became overwhelming for her too and she too responded in anger, frustration, rage and violence. My father said if he could do things differently; he wouldn’t have been so hard on his boys because we were just kids and we didn’t know anything about this world. I learned to love my woman and be patient with her. I learned to love and cherish my children regardless of my relationship with their mother. I also learned to express myself to my wife and to tell my children the truth of this world as often as I could and as soon as they started showing signs of comprehension and will. That imagery that was implanted in my head and the music that carried it helped mold my early development and motivated me to strive to provide that feeling for my family. The Pressures are real and unrelenting. Things do not go the way you want or expect. Not everyone, in fact most of us don’t (of every skin color) get this imagery and energy at home from the people who made them. It’s a rough ride for most of us because of it.
Honestly, wouldn’t minded if the entire song wasn’t anything but vocals and piano…great vibes Alex Isley and Terrace Martin, keep em coming!
This song... Whoever concepted the visual deserves an award. Almost broke me down, it was perfect. Alex been raw, but her and Terrace are having some chemistry lately. More please?
This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded!!!
