For those of us who even know what a Duo-Art roll or piano is, This is treat. I used to have a Weber upright Duo-Art and had almost every roll put out by Duo-Art. Those were fun days (and nights). I miss them. I don't know one person today who even knows what a Duo-Art or Ampico piano is. But I digress- Love this piano.
+uncle louie Might be buying a Weber Duo-Art upright this week. I'm very excited. It will need some TLC as it's not perfect. Any specific memories or advice, regarding yours?
Has this instrument ever been taken to an Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors Association conventions? It is performing perfectly with all the dynamics. Amazing piano from 1917.
No, this instrument has never been to an AMICA convention, and is unlikely to be taken there. It was restored in early 2013, and is now comfortably at home with its owner near Washington DC.
Dear sir, i've a pianola from Steck with the number 48014. The vendor says it's all working, but the hendels laying all togheter , here and there the pipes are broken or missing. I've no manual and i want the pianola bring in it's earlier situation. Do (or can you) bring me in contact with some one who can help me ??
They goes from No.1 to No.19, but only up to no.16 should be "available" for Duo Art, since production stopped in 1939. They are all available for Ampico
Anyone who appreciates the finest sound from a piano has to love this. Thanks for posting.
