OVERLANDING MOROCCO in our Land Rover Defender: Part I

- In part 1 of our Morocco mini series, we transit through Spain, wind our way round ancient medinas in Chefchaouen and Fes and drive an awesome track into the mountains and cedar forests of Tazekka National Park.
We're conscious that our travel 'timeline' may be a bit confusing! So, to clarify - this trip actually took place last summer in 2023, before we filmed our previous Q&A video (yes, I'm that behind on editing... but we're getting there!). At the moment, we're living back home in the UK, busy working and deep into preparations for our expedition across the Americas. Stay tuned for updates...
Only recently found your channel, so I’ve spent the last couple of weeks watching every episode as a box set. Not sure why you tube has only just found your channel for me as I have been watching all of the Land Rover (overland)channels for years but have only just found yours 🤔 When’s the next episode coming ? love it ❤xxx
Thanks so much for watching, Mark! So glad you enjoyed them ☺️ next one is coming soon - just making some finishing touches!
Off again hope all went well see you when you get home
Thanks Byron!
New water pump and power steering pump week for my ‘yak’. Or ‘old landy’ as he’s known. Halfway through the job, going ok so far. Waiting on some new water pump bolts. …looking forward to your next adventures. Best wishes
He’s all fixed now 👍 …still trundling along.
nice
Great to see you out and about whilst thinking about your America trip, glad you solved the problems and seemed pretty chilled despite the sleep deprivation 😊
Thanks for watching, Richard 😊 yeah it could have been worse!
Enjoy your enthusiasm while traveling.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks for sharing this little video from the past . REALY looking forward to your adventure across the Americans. Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A.:) :) 🍻👍🏼😁
Thanks so much as always for watching Steve, appreciate it! We are so excited to get back out on the road again 😊 would be great to meet when we’re in Oregon!
@@yakoverland4543 ..yea it would be .🍻👍🏼😁
been waiting and looking forward in your new journey, you've been out of the game for quite sometime,. It's time to redeem and conquer again..vaya con Dios.....
Thanks very much!
Hey , nice video and nice trip and you appreciate it seems to me.
on the other hand you are suffering a lot from the heat to which I see that you are not at all accustomed,
unlike the natives, I have lived in Morocco for more than 50 years and indeed it may seem absurd to you to work in this heat, as you will suspect, they are used to it and some times they have no choice and yes the conditions of work are not at all the same as in Europe. I had the opportunity to work under 56ºC or 329ºK and I am still alive on I drank up to 8 to 10 liters of water during the day 😉😎. other things that we may not tell you when you arrive is that indeed suavage camping has been prohibited for several years for security reasons, the weather here has also changed .So enjoy …..
The heat was pretty full on 😂 we adjusted in the end but were still amazed at everyone working in the middle do the day 😂
That’s impressive! Cold water must be amazing 🙌
We loved Morocco and would love to go back one day
Wow, guys, did you arrive in Morocco cool 😎 when you vist Libya?
Not this time sadly as we didn’t have a lot of time but would love to one day! 🙏
Thanks for the videos! You would do yourself a big favor by improving your microphone setup. Too much ambient noise and of course wind noise. It would also help to blend in the sound, instead of a hard cut from a silent scene to brutally loud street scene with you mumbling in the background. Don't get me wrong, this should not discourage you, it should simply help you to make your videos even more enjoyable.
Thanks for the feedback, Martin 👍 Annoyingly, we had bought a mic for this trip but only realised afterwards that we’d been plugging it into the wrong port in the camera! I didn’t want to delete this many clips so decided to keep them in. Should be better next time…
@@yakoverland4543 Haha, that could have been me. :D So, good news is, there will be a better sound in the future. Thanks for not misunderstanding my critics.
Appreciate the honesty! We’re always trying to improve 👍 The other videos in this series may have similar issues but for our next trip it should all be sorted 😊
You can't blame Yak for being a bit sluggish in that heat.
True! It was intense 😅
Hey.. it’s been 3 years.. nearly 4.. I’m still haunting you
👋
The Land Rover Defender were specifically bulit to last for the World's expedition.
The best choice 🙌
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and hoping to do some sponsorship with you!
Need to talk clearer and explain better where you are and where you are going, we are interested in this info.
Which section in particular? I thought I’d mentioned our location quite a lot in this one… but good to know anyway 👍
@@yakoverland4543 I think you were fine
