I hate every time Luke & Laura leave the show. Fastforward to 2008: GH has got to stop with the senseless violence stoylines. The focus is too heavy on the mob and not beauitiful romance couples like what Luke & Laura represent.
Newyorkergirl 1986 yes, but they did return the following summer for the Aztec Treasure adventure, then left just before Laura told Luke he was about to be a daddy for the first time. It would then be 1993 until L & L returned ;-)

Luckily (I guess) I wasn't watching the show in 1983, so only saw these scene on LnL DVDs when I could go right on to her pregnancy in 1984, then their great return in 1993. I would have been devastated not knowing if they were coming back--ever. This 2008 reunion/ripping apart surely is painful.
In my personal opinion, yes, I think they will leave their roles of Luke and Laura together. Their love has been too MAGNIFICENT and has spanned too many years to let it end any other way. (IMO) Also, Tony Geary and Genie Francis really are a part of soap opera history and will long be remembered for their roles as Luke and Laura; I think it would be beyond stupid for TPTB not to give the greatest couple to grace daytime a proper ending. I'm hoping anyway . . .
Love has many facets , in general daytime tv excelled at showing the matrix , yet General Hospital was my first Florey into the facets at 12 years of age in the 1960s i find the facets still hold true . Thru time and social as well as cultural Change . Few remain yet the facets glisten as jewles✌🏿️👌🏾👼🏿
It's nice to remember the past and see familiar faces. Luke and Laura are the best. Number 1 couple of all soap opera's.

TG returned to play his cousin and had storyline with Holly where they became lovers with unprotected sex, I swear Ethan is Bill Eckert's!
I wonder how the show would have been different had Laura not left when she was taken by the Cassadine's and then they didn't leave together here?
