I’m 65 years old and raised my three children the way I was raised which was in a stable loving home yet this topic...this video...breaks my freaking heart!!! The saddest thing in the world to me is a sad, lonely, hurt child (or elderly person). I wish I knew how to fix these broken children/young adults.

As a person in recovery I’m 10 years sober and I have 2 daughters that luckily have never seen me drink I thank god for that. Just know from the person suffering stand point it’s not so simple as to just not drink or do the drugs. Believe me I don’t wish addiction on anyone. I am proud of my journey and where I have come but I would not want to do it all over again knowing I hurt friends and family. As I said I’m blessed enough to not send my kids through this as I can’t imagine the pain it causes although NF makes me almost understand it. But just know most addicts don’t want to be that

Addiction is rarely the initial problem, it's usually the addicts solution to what's hurting them physically psychologically. That's how Gabor Maté explains it and he's a specialist in addiction. Happy people don't fall in to drug abuse.

First time I watched this I didn't know a thing about the song so when it got to his mother's death I wasn't prepped I like the reactions where they aren't coached about the lyrics just the straight watch and pause for copy right reasons
Such a sad song I’m exactly like you I watch many reactions of this song just to see others dissect it and the point of view. NF said in an interview this song was out of anger and when he was younger. But now that he’s older he knows that his mom was going through tough times and doesn’t feel that much anger and he just wishes he could have one more conversation but a full grown adult convo about life.

So the song he wrote was coming out of anger and that he hated his mom. And In an interview he said I wish I had a full grown adult conversation with his mom now. Because he never had the chance when he was only 18 when she passed. I’m not saying I know him personally.

JR the virus is crazy. The show for NF has already been rescheduled so I have something to look forward to come August. At this point I’m more frustrated me and the boys golf trip was cancelled 👎🏻
@@frankrosenacker3462 That sucks. I can't go out unless I need to see one of my doctors cuz my health is shit. I was diagnosed with 2 different but serious lung conditions over the last 4 months. That's on top of the health problems I already have.

She's not a piece of shit mom it that when you have nobody to turn to it's hard and you turn to drugs I know for a fact that NF mom didn't mean to shun her kids away I'm sure she probably knew what she was doing but that doesn't change the fact that you when you get on drugs you get attached you get manipulated into thinking this makes you happy this this is good for you it's not and it's just insane to me how people shun people who have issues and i it's like smoking you don't know that you're hurting the person but it's truly hurting and they don't want to see you like this. They want to see you happy but not addicted to anything
