Why shoot corvids?
Crows and magpies are omnivorous predators and occur across all habitats. They are major predators of ground-nesting birds, waders and song birds, consuming both eggs and young chicks.
Corvid predation particularly impacts thrushes (White, P.J.C., Stoate, C., Szczur, J. & Norris, K.J. 2014)., Research has shown that the populations of curlew, golden plover and lapwing are significantly improved by controlling corvid numbers (GWCT Research Waders on the Fringe 2010).
Crows also predate on lambs and young livestock, and can damage newly-sown cereal crops, particularly in Winter and Spring when other food sources are scarce.

Can you do a video of air gun laws and where you can hunt? Common land like Dartmoor to pinking around in the national parks?? How easy will a private land owner give you permission to hunt on his land?? The only place to pinking around is your back garden?? We don't all have access to big estates to hunt on , which would be out of reach for most people. You just can't take your air gun to the forest and take a few wood pigeon for the pot??

the best thing you can do is go to a couple of farms in your local area and ask, get yourself some insurance BASC do a good one. be polite and you should do fine.

They're also one of the most destructive birds in the country pecking new born lambs eyes out and raiding song bird nests. There for numbers need to be controlled for balance in the ecosystem otherwise you'd see much less wildlife diversification. Suggest you get yourself properly educated on the subject buddy
