It was Ali that said “I didn’t hit him while he was going down so it looked pretty”
Meaning Ali didn’t want to ruin a picture perfect knockout by swinging at George as he’s falling and possibly missing. Crazy.

Reflecting on the fight, George Foreman later said: "I thought Ali was just one more knockout victim until, about the seventh round, I hit him hard to the jaw and he held me and whispered in my ear: 'That all you got, George?' I realized that this ain't what I thought it was."

*Muhammad Ali quotes that are inspirational:*
“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”
“If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it.”
“A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”
“If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you.”
“At home I am a nice guy: but I don’t want the world to know. Humble people, I’ve found, don’t get very far.”
“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”
“A man who has no imagination has no wings.”
    *Muhammad Ali Quotes on religion:*
“Everything I do now, I do to please Allah…Being a true Muslim is the most important thing in the world to me. It means more to me than being black or being American.”
“Allah’s the Arabic term for God. Stand up for God, fight for God, work for God and do the right thing, and go the right way, things will end up in your corner.”

I have trouble believing in religion and God, the world is a sick place and disgusting things happen every day. But when I see Ali, I see a greater spirit bigger than a human, I get goosebumps every time. This is a man who stared death in the face and said “is that all you got?” - a 7/1 underdog who knocked out an indestructible man in front of nearly 30% of the worlds population. Nobody gave him a chance. The GOAT, the greatest boxer and most inspirational sportsman that has ever walked this earth. 3:03 is ethereal, and the stadium literally shakes at 3:10 in disbelief of what they’re seeing. We will never see anything like this again.

Wow ... it has been almost 45 years when we first watched the match broadcast live on TV. It was an incredible moment, just as it is today having watched and rewatched the last round so many times. What a great champ Ali was and the best punch that anyone ever throws in any boxing match is the punch that Ali never threw when Foreman was on his down. And the respect that Foreman showed to Ali since is classic and speaks a lot to his character!!!

Sporting event brought the whole world to its feet. Ali was a magician to pull this off. Ali was a 7 to 1 underdog. Foreman was defeating others with total ease, in two rounds max. But Ali defeated Foremen with his mind, he out-foxed him. So inspiring. Then, took 7 blows to the head in quick succession and before going down for the count; you can see it on this video, Ali was poised to deliver another right to Foreman as he was going down, but Ali relented, like he was saying to himself "The guy's had enough now." That's a sign of greatness.

2 beautiful man (actually 3, JF) met each other at the most highest time of Boxing. The time were most of them boxers would die for this shit…
The era where u would get knocked out if u flinched.
Fast, strong, focused, wise, coldblooded yet so humble, durability, powerful, mighty but always merciful..
They were a gift of GOD.
I cannot call them fighters… cuz they were above that level. Warriors, thats what they were!
Ali leading, Foreman loyal and good old Joe Frazier, the man which u always want on your side!
The best rivals are your greatest partners.
And one more thing about Ali…beside his agility ,speed and the 1-2s
His boxing skill was lacking. Which is once more a proof, that if you truly believe, work hard and have faith… last but not least U WANNA DIE for it… you can become the GOAT!
Ladies and Gentleman… the man who has been bigger than Boxing…. Bigger than politics, bigger than almost anything on earth back than… M.ALI🐐

Always makes me cry when I'm watching this combat. I am currently in Brazzaville, the city opposite to Kinshasa on the other side of the great river Congo. I cannot help asking myself when looking at Kinshasa: "so that's where this legendary fight happened. Really gives me goose bumps.
