the bales make me sad. we have a MASSIVE overconsumption problem in this country and fast fashion is absolutely killing our planet. this is just ONE thrift store in one city in one state. multiply this by the amount of thrift stores in this country. not all of those pieces are going to be recycled or reused. we need to start being accountable for the clothing we buy and the waste we produce. thank you for showing this video and the behind the scenes at thrift stores.

I agree. We are destroying planet earth we our wasteful consumption. I know resellers get a bad wrap, but personally, I am very grateful for them. They are true recyclers, getting used items into homes where they are appreciated again. I already don’t buy fast fashion, but if I did & I watched this, I never would again. This is mind blowing & really, really sad, imo.

I watched a documentary on what happens to bales of clothes when being sent overseas, most of them end up in landfills, not in repurpose centers turned into new clothes like they say, Africa and a few other countries have clothing in landfills pushed out to the ocean they've got so much. The guy in the documentary said if america didn't want these clothes with stains and problems the other countries don't either.Usually when they opened the bales it's like 20% good 80% tossed into the landfill. The funniest part was when you asked about them having an online prescense they said NO really fast then it was not really then it was we dabble on ebay lol.

I love the Arc. I have met the CEO on many occasions. They definitely work for people who need them most . Giving lots of handicapped individuals meaningful jobs. I would have been like Scrooge McDuck swimming in all those bales.

really cool with the arc behind the scenes. Most people i know almost exclusively shop arc instead of goodwill in the denver area. Feel like each time i go i can find atleat one vintage piece. It's a little hit or miss, but next time you are in town, you might want to check out the flea market on saturday.
