So the filter filter the oil when it picked it up before it goes anywhere?

Did you replace the Cummins main bearing thrust bearing with a one piece thrust bearing?

I installed a one piece thrust bearing.

It is looking like it's getting closer to a first start yea! Been keeping a watch out for monkey pox we do know that research has been shown that grease monkeys have been successful in avoiding the virus as long as they keep the oil galleys clean! Hope that sounded as funny as it does in my head 🤣 I am worried that my dad joke may be the worst one of the year good job so far

I have no oil pressure for about 6 to 8 seconds after startup. Is this normal? I have not seen any information on this topic.
Hot oil pressure is above 15 at idle and above 60 when driving.

That sounds like a problem, I think I would try a pressure gauge mounted in the plug above the oil filter.

There's about a 10 second delay on start up from the pressure sensor to when the computer reads the signal. To make absolutely sure you have oil pressure hook a mechanical gauge up to one of the ports on the filter head.
