After watching your video this morning I ran to my nearest Marshall’s (30 miles away) and found this planner for only $8. I’m now happily sitting at home covering up the 2024 dates and setting it up for 2025. So excited to use it! Thanks for enabling me! 😜
I can vouch for everything you said in this video. My bestie gifted me two Moleskine weeklies, one a few years ago and one at the beginning of this year. I customized the hell out of them and made them work for me, and I'm proud to say this was the first time in forever that I've stuck with "one" planner the entire year! (I put "one" in quotes bc it was a part of my whole planning system, which included a traveler's notebook.) The first Moleskine she gave me got partially used up and stored away. The second one is the one I used this year. I customized it by cutting off the hard cover, splitting it into sections, and putting them into my TN like inserts. It was an undated that she had dated for 2024, but before she'd even started using it, she decided not to and gave it to me instead. I just kept it dated how she'd done it, which meant Saturday and Sunday were still together. However, I decided that for 2025, I'm going to use the rest of that first one she gave me, but I have whited out the previous dates (that one was dated for 2022-23 I think) and headings so that Saturday and Sunday can be separate. That, along with the way Moleskine does their monthly spreads, are the only two design issues I have with them. Other than that, they are great planners! I love the overall layout of the Moleskine weekly, having the week on the left and the note page on the right. I use it as a bullet journal, basically. I will jot down highlights of the day on the day. Sometimes I use the note page for to-do lists, sometimes for extra journaling space. If a lot happens on one particular day, I will continue journaling in a separate insert in the TN. If it's an uneventful day, I'll fill the space with stickers and washi. I'll do the same to the note page if I don't use it for anything else. That's how I ended up filling up the 2024 weekly completely, which is something I haven't accomplished in years! As of right now, the remainder of that old weekly will get me through to May 4, 2025. By then, I will either get another Moleskine weekly, or I will set up a blank insert with that layout to finish out the year. Either way, I think I've found my "planner peace" for now! Btw, the way I used up the other portion of that old Moleskine was exactly how you suggested someone could do it--use the past dated pages as note pages! I think that is the perfect way to use up old planner pages of any kind. I intend to do this with all the old planners I have stashed. My goal is to try not to buy any new planners until all the old ones are used up! I won't promise anything, though! lol Sorry for the long comment, I hyperfixated again! lol
