  • Happy New Year everyone!
It's 2024 and I'm keeping with my regular Moleskine Weekly Planner with the exception of the cover. I have always picked one of their limited edition covers with a cute design so I know right away what I'm grabbing. This year they didn't have anything to really choose from so I chose a plain cover in a burgundy color. Who knows, maybe I will decorate it later! I am not particularly organized with my planner. I tend to write details all over it, but it works! I like the stickers this book comes with. They might be useful!
What do you use as a planner?

I'm surprised you haven't made the switch to Hobonichi weeks. It's the same interior layout with much better paper and plenty of cute cover styles and colors. I personally gravitate toward Happy Planner disc-bound with a vertical weekly spread. It's very customizable, so I can put absolutely everything in it

That would be a great idea! Maybe next year I will make the switch!

I use a hobonichi weeks size planner. 2023 was an actual hobonichi brand. This year, I’m using the Sterling ink weeks size. It has the new Tomoe River paper and it set up the same as the hobo, but with no color.

I usually go with the leuchtturm1917 weekly planner. I find it more consistent in paper quality than Moleskine.
It works well with fine nibs, stubs and music, (at least for me) plus I like the “feel” of the paper.

I love my Leuchtturm Bujo 2nd ed. in black and Hobonichi Cousin A5. I really love my bujo but I believe I to want my planner to be a whole year in order to reflect on the pas information from either work or class. At this time I am carrying both but I will need to decide before classes start back up next week.

I've been using a Leuchtturm Bullet Journal for planning and organizing. But I just bought a Field Notes 56 week planner which looks more like the Moleskine one you have. It isn't here yet, but I'm looking forward to starting.

I used a leuchtturm for bullet journaling years ago and really liked it. It was the most effective life planning/journaling method I've ever used. I should probably pick it up again!

last year i ended up using the english daiy hobonichi techo and the 5-year techo, giving up a weeks, a hightide agendas de l'annee (cute but not enough space for me to write), and most of the inserts in my traveler's note except for the plain light insert (paper could be tomoe?) that i used for a reading jpurnal. i ended up never missing a day on both the daily and 5-year techos so yeay for that. minimum stickers and beautification, just words. i used the hobonichi hokusai cover for the whole year which lent the period not a small amount of melancholia. that's why i've switched to the bright, mirror-y golden taro cover for 2024 with the thinner avec notebook in the og japanese layout (much preferable to the plainer english one). hoping not to miss a day this year either (tip: dont be against writing retrospectively it's fun, u can mix up tenses and stuff! eg, "tomorrow i ended up not going to see barbie..." 😂)

I am in my second year of a hobonichi cousin, this year I switched to the avec. 2023 was super chonky by the end and I want to be able to care my planner in a zip-around case. I haven't used Moleskine in a few years, but I have also flitted around with an A6 rings with custom inserts and and A6 hobo. Both were too small.

I tried hobonichi a5 but I managed to get through last year with 3 journals the hobonichi, a run over journal for those days where I just wanted to ramble and ramble I did a journal for currently inked and that was it this year however I have a separate journal for each thing I thought it would be more easily decipherable between bullet journal calendar, long form journal for rambling on , health journal so I dont have to scramble while I'm at the doctors office flipping through my garbldy goop of chicken scratch to tell them how I've been feeling and my bp and stuff , a currently inked journal, a financial journal this year I need to widdle down my credit card so I am going to note every penny and hopefully be able to better see what when and where I'm spending my money on and how much I'm paying off my credit card each month, also I have a address journal book where I can note people I am recieving gifts from so that way I can say oh so and so sent me this thing, and of course my ink journal cause I have to know who to give thanks to when doing my ink review for the day :) Swew that was a lot Hopefully I wont revert to going back into the hobonichi cause it worked well but some days I just didnt write anything and those pages I would just practice random calligraphy and others I would ramble for ever so I dunno we will see how this goes maybe next year I will put everything into one book if I can find one thats big enough ;P
