Same thing happened to mine. Fixed it the same way. It was super handy to reference this video when rerouting the wires. Thanks for letting us learn from your little mistakes.
Mines been sitting on my shelf for the last year not running. I found this video and gave it ago. The exact same black wire came loose during the process. There was small amount of burn where it broke off. I’m 90% sure that was the main issue. Soldered it back and cleaned up the copper like you did. Runs like a top! Thanks for this!
wow that was really confusing as I've just spent the last week trying to get a bushing out of a knuckle (car stuff) I think you meant brushes! otherwise I'm sure this vid will come in handy when my broken Makita TM3010C arrives as it's broke

My friend has one with the 18 V accumulator. Runs for 2 seconds, then automatically turns off. Nothing helped yet.
